BALANCED RATIO OF CRIME, EVILNESS, CROOCKEDNESS & JUSTICE.

MY OPINION 10/10
I know it sounds lengthy but trust me you will be amazed for what what you find here.it is an amazing combination of a perfect story, beautiful setting and also the hard word of an extraordinary cast and crew.
the story revolves around a mafia lawyer vincenzo who is termed as a "cat that is full"(as the plays with his prey before he really kill him) comes to Korea in order to accomplish a secret mission. he meets an old lawful and just lawyer Hong Yoo-chan
who stands up for the weak. there relation takes many turn until Hong Yoo-chan dies. thus vincenzo joins his daughter hong cha young to bring downfall to a company babel and its merciless director.

the story is over all the best of best if you love any of the following
1)crime
2)mystery
3)crookedness
4)little romance
5)psychopath villain
6)cruel but just hero
7)scumbag systems(government0
8)revenge
9)strong female lead
10)funny side story
11)exploration about one own conscious mind
***this also speaks about the power of the normal people as well as what should one really fight for.*****

what is right? and what is wrong ?

the blood of youth is period drama set in a fictional era and is full of mystery and suspense.it is quite a heavey drama with a lot of characters, excellent production, interesting plot with wonderful cast. the story revolves mainly around xiao se(latter known to be as xiao chuhe/the 6th prince& yong an wang) a stinky villa owner and his friends lei wuji a teen in search for experiance in the martial arts world and ye anshi also known as wuxin a man in his late 20's with the ability to look into once thought and minds whom he meets on a trip to xuyue city. the drama tells the story of their adventures and backgrounds which are interconnected in messy web of deaths and betrayals. it also talks about family affairs of xiao chuhe who is the most talented son of the ruling emperor and is a prodigy who is now leaving under the identity of xiao se since he lost his martial arts. he decides to go back to xuyue city in order to take everything back that belongs to him where he meets many other teens talented broad minded and vibrant with a clean mind and supports the truth as well as will give their life for what they value the most.the story is abouth second chance, clear conscience and to dream big .

my negatives ;
1)the main love interest between xiao se and sikong qianluo (although it is a very light amount) is kind of annoying because they are both mature making the couple kind of weird where as i preferred xiao se to be with wuxin (since one is croocked while other is funny and one is mature and serious where the other is funny with a carefree nature)

Awesome. I couldn’t resist watching the next episode.

This is one of the drama’s that leaves you speechless. I personally enjoyed it. Now don’t think of me as a liu yuning fan supporting his drama, I am just a drama fan supporting a good drama. I would give this a 10 out of 10, which is a solid score.
The story happens in a weird yet common setting. The female lead is an actress who has to work with a famous actor. The story they are doing is not that great and the female lead feels like this will only work because of the fame her co actor has. As she was studying the script, she gets transmigrated into the story. In the story she is supposed to betray her fiancé and marry the male lead. but the male lead cheats on her with her sister and in the end, she dies a tragic death. So now that the female lead knows this she would naturally try to stay away from this end. This is the hilarious path she takes to stay clear from death.

The pros. The main thing about the drama is its story. It is compelling, serious yet awesomely hilarious. We care and fall for the charcter not just because they are the leads or because they are handsome, we are complled by the plot to do that and thus this attraction is super strong. The script is precise and delivers what they have intended and is well paced. The second thing to talk about is naturally the actors. Weather it is liu yuning or li yitong or any onther character, they were all well casted. The acting was soooo good. We could feel the fresh wounds of nan heng through liu yuning and the confusion within song yi meng through li yitong. Special mention includes zhang zheng yang (the emperor, like I hated the charcter to core), chang long (nan rui, I mean he always brought laughter to the group) zhu xu dan, riley wang and many others. Another ood thing was the props. They were realistic. We can tell that a good amount of the budget went into it. The costumes were also great. Another notable and very much appreciable part of the drama is the music-weather it is the ost sang by the leads or other songs- they were lit. the music director chen xuren is amazing. He manged to bring in new sound effect and in corporate modern music to the scenes.
The cons. Not many but I think the jewellery used by everyone is a bit too much at times. Everything else is well placed and paced but the jewels were a bit too shiny and hua chengy (a tgcf reference, means jingling)

Now please do watch this drama the rewatch worth is also so high. The motions are real; wounds are raw and there is an undeniable attraction we feel towards the leads and the drama. Its beautiful. Its marvellous and funny.

WOW LIKE REALLY WOW.

I am listening to the end theme of legend of Zang Hai while writing this. Honestly this is the only series that I watched with a proper plan, an even better plan than my future. 3 days, 60 hours, 1800 minutes and 40 marvelous episodes. I have used drama as a coping mechanism and during every worst day of my life I found refugee in xiao Zhan’s dramas or revenge dramas. So that is I am a hard core xiao Zhan fan and revenge dramas are an addiction to me. This drama left me broken. I have not been this happy in quite some times. I almost cried to the last episode that I didn’t want this drama to end.
Now personal things aside, what is legend of Zang Hai. It is in short, a revenge story. A story that deals with not characters but real people. Usually in stories we tend to have people who tend to be reflection of what we want us to be and us not to be. But LOZH has real people. Here we can’t label them as good human or bad human, everyone is just human. Like you can’t really trust anyone. No one is pure nor is anyone truly rotten to core. And that right there made this drama so special to me. Now why is it a success as a revenge drama. Because most dramas fail to bring out that most revenges stem out from hatred and that hate clouds our mind and turns us into someone whom we wouldn’t even recognize. It also did a wonderful job in exploring the true expressions of love, hate doubt, duty, filial piety, joy, sorrow and hate. Then there is the acting. Honestly the people in this drama-not just xiao Zhan’s character- were well casted and even more importantly were incredibly talented. Ming Xiang an tu, Gao min, Zhao Bingwen, Zhuang Zhi Xing and at last Zang Hai were all compelling. Especially certain seances solely performed by xiao Zhan were just right. Many tell he was over expressive and others complain they were sallow, but as far as I understood, xiao Zhan put in a lot of effort to bring out authentic and relatable expression of complicated emotions. And the credit also goes to the director. In fact, the potential of actors can only be brought to light when they work with such talented directors. They made us believe what they believed and wanted us to believe. The crew also did a good job on framing, camara, editing and Ost. The screen was filled with good quality props and beautiful organization and director’s brilliance.
Now the cons. The script. It wasn’t awful. But neither was it the best. The script failed to maintain a constant pace. The first 20 episodes were rather lagging. 20-30 were rather more compelling and paced in a very orderly manner. 30-40 were simply packed with information that could have been used to develop more of a hook to the story. In my humble opinion if 50% of the details used in last 10 episodes were equally distributed in between the first 20 episodes it would have been remarkable. But the script tried to bring out beautiful representations of familial bonds and situations in most Asian household. The dynamics between Gao ming and Zang Hai were so beautifully portrayed. Another thing is romance. They are in love but it could have been more tempting if we had more instances to support their likes and dislikes.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. It is one in a million. If you compare it with the glory and or the double this is far far better and sticks to its ‘revenge’ plot. But if you compare it to true gems like nirvana in fire, then it could have done way better.

such a slow burn romance

this story was the most intriguing slow-burn love story that was well and very well brought to life. From character development to plot line each move and dialogue was well considered as well as well presented by the actors. From start to end many questions had to be answered. The excellent part is that not all of them were kept to the end to be answered and some of them were on purpose revealed to the viewer to increase as well as decrease the anxiety of the viewer. Zhang Lianghe did a good of portraying Xie Wei (Xie ju’an). another notable actor other than Bai Lu was from Zhou Jun Wei. Overall worth a watch.
{also beware of the kiss scene. they where wonderful}

THIS IS THE WORST SERIES EVER. (DESPITE MY 9/10 RATING)

Ok, this was a good drama, not the best but a good one. the acting is good, the vfx, actors, costumes, action everything is good and with a great production but the story will maim you for sure. They use 30 episodes to justify a character and then they just tell that all those reasons are invalid. I mean wtf. This is among the one series where I wanted the villain to defeat the hero.
Now in detail. This is the second part of the blood of youth but chronologically this happens before the first part. Some actors who portrayed their kids return as their fathers in this season(like Langya wang& Mingde Emperor). The story isn’t as complex as The Blood of Youth and most characters are the younger versions of the side characters from The Blood of Youth. The story is told in quite a straightforward way and it isn’t as enthralling as the blood of youth. But you feel so miserable because we know the future of these characters(eg: consort xuan(Yi Wenjun), Ye Dingzhi (Ye Anshi/wuxin’s father), Lord Langya(xiao se’s uncle)). So when you know these characters closely in season two, you kind of feel sad and want to change the future into something else. Season one was an intellectual treat and season two is an emotional treat. Everything about the story is great. not much of a large plot hole. everything kind of co-exist. And the humor in season exists in season two.
Now why I say this is the worst, when it was actually great. Because of the ending. The story kind of emphasizes karma but the wrongs that were committed by the second lead(Ye Yun) are actually justifiable when compared to the wrongs committed toward him. You will also be deeply disappointed in some characters:
i) Xiao Ruofeng ( Langya lord ); this guy was the holy beacon of righteousness and then he deeply disappoints you. But then his death in season one is kind of less agonizing when we hear the backstory
ii) Ye Dingzhi (wuxin’s dad); this guy is supposed to be the worst in season one but then in season two we learn that he is just a broken hero, a fallen angel, and a victim of injustice, and then his death becomes more agonizing and when he fails that hurts even more.
Now should you watch this, yes you should. please watch it This is a great drama. It is a question and a statement at the same time.
‘ are the villains truly villains and are the heroes always right because they stay alongside the so-called righteous path and orthodox way when they are completely filled with hypocrisy, rendering evil within their minds.’

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.” ― John Lennon

This story is the perfect example for this because i was having a mini heat attack followed by a short deppression because of how the 40 th ep ended, and i have not been happy like that for years(well the time between untamed and this)to find that there was a special ep. the story is quite messed up unless you are interested in something less romantic and more thrilling if you are a sherlock homes fan i would ask you to have a go with this. it is indeed a mysterious story. the author talent is making things believable was what is to be mainly appreciated.
there aren't may too unusual "coincidences" like other xianxia and wuxia drama i have watched lately.
casting cheng yi as li xiang yi and li lianhua was so stupendous and he did a great job bringing the character to life.
although li xiangyi and li lianjua are the same person there is vast diffrence in their attitudes and the way ot show the transition of the world famous li sect leader of sigu sect, li xianyi to a wandering physician(fake)who doent seem to care about anything but about how to die.
he meets a person fang duobing, who claims to be li xiang yi's one and only disciple and ends up teaming up with li lianhu(who is li xianyi)and solves a bunch of myserious cases togather and finally becomes friends and confidents.
they solve that that are related to a 100 year old conspiracy that is related to li xiang yi himself and about his lineage.

IT IS NOT A ROMANCE DRAMA AND HAS GOT A LOT OF MYSTRIES AND THRILLS AND IT IS NOT FOR SOME ONE WHO WANTS UNBELIVABLE STORY AND TWISTS.
YOU CAN GIVE IT A TRY BUT CANNOT GUARANTY ANYTHING TO EVERY ONE BUT IS THE SECOND MOST FAVORATE DRAMA IN MY LIST.

Finally, a drama I didn’t drop half way through.

In 2024 I haven’t completed many drama’s though I have started many. But at the beginning of 2025, I watched a good drama. the blossom.
The story is neither character driven nor plot driven. You can’t really call it a political drama because the plot and the story wasn’t truly about intricate politics, factions or even case investigation. But it is not a character driven drama because the plot was logical and had a core story to tell and it wasn’t just the female lead and somethings around her. What made this drama truly outstanding is that the drama had breathtaking romance. It was a meaningful, strong and BELIVEABLE relationship. There are many scenario’s in the drama that gives you butterflies in your stomach and guess what you can enjoy it peacefully and even simp for the main lead’s. because they clearly had points that made them likable and compatible. Their relationship is slowly built and the trust is slowly formed. The one thing about this was that the couple didn’t have much internal conflict. As character’s each character had a complex personality and internal conflict(thus making them more realistic) but the troubles in the relationship was due to external influence and they were on the same boat from beginning to end. Adding internal struggle could have spiced the drama a bit more. But you are not into angst then it is probably fine for you.
It is more of a family revolving drama. With many families, and themes related like entanglement, filial piety f**ked up parent children relationships and trauma related to childhood and teenage. Many broken family bonds are mended and that itself is worth watching(while some are doomed)
Acting is another notable aspect of the story. Li yunrui was not only handsome but also did a good job of playing the character of song mo. Casting meng ziyi was also an absolute win for the drama. With her experience and way for portraying a character, she did an amazing job.
The setting-from court to each household was beautiful and well planned. It was not extravagant. So was the costume and makeup. It all felt real enough for me to believe it .
The drama has less amount of xianxia elements or wuxia elements. It is not a political intrigue either. It is the kind of drama where you root for characters and feel happy.
In the end watch the drama as long as you are not diabetic. Because the sugar in this drama is quite sweet. It is a feel good drama with enjoyable(not perfect but enjoyable) story and great chemistry between the leads.

INCREDIBLE JUST INCREDIBLE

No, there is no need to read anything more. just watch, just watch and I am sure you will be back here to tell others about how the series is just beyond what one would call magnificent

It is not a review but a form of appreciation to everyone who gave their best in the making of this drama. I have no words to tell you how much I have enjoyed this series and everything in this drama is more than stupendous. from the selection of the cast to the set preparation and the post-production works there is literally no flaw. The story is beautiful and filled with thousands of foreshadowing and such a brilliant script. One thing about the script is that though there are a lot of stories from the past that are related to the story in the present, the scriptwriter Hai Yan did a wonderful job alongside the directors Kong Sheng, and Li Xue by telling them as mere memories that are just shards from the past. The acting by Hu Ge, Liu Tao, wang kai, ding Yong dai, and Leo Wu is just beyond the best, and the casting director Wei Wei thought through each of the characters and selected the ones that were maybe just born to play that certain role. such a great story such a true gem and my favorite story that I have seen. To describe it is beyond my capacity and if you want to know if it is drama you should watch I would say not watching this is a crime done against such a great piece of art

IT IS A 50-50. NOT THE BEST OR THE WORST. NOT GOOD BUT ALSO NOT BAD.

4) this is a series that I had high hopes for and it might be because of the same reason that I feel disappointed after watching the series.

If the story's main agenda and other things are not something you care about and you solely want to watch the drama for the romance or because of some actor, then feel free to choose the story. If not then do consider reconsidering. Some things just made me so fucking triggered and some things were truly beyond something I would understand or even some things were logically speaking complete nonsense.
But then again don’t just drop it because of my review as many have found this drama to be a good one

At first let me make this clear, from the very beginning I was not satisfied by the story. a few minutes into the story you hear the female lead calling the male lead ‘shi fu’ which translates to master. i am not someone who agrees to a story where the master falls in love with the student and if that disturbs you please do not watch the series but if that is not an issue then go ahead and watch the series.
The plus points of the drama include the cast and their acting xiao Zhen did well up to my expectations and Ren Min also did her role well. Some other characters also had notably wonderful acting skills. Then comes the vfx the vfx was a believable one, more than that a good one. The fantastical setting was brought to life with the help of such a great VFX. Some things are enjoyable in this series. The actors look, they look adorable and the costumes and other artifacts used were also elegant. Throughout the story production, an ethereal feeling was preserved.

Now the negatives. The main issue with the story lies in its plot. The plot itself doesn’t have many plot holes and things match up but the plot seems to be too long with useless incidents that were meant to contribute to the character development but then it wasn’t of much use. the way characters react to different emotions and under the influence of different emotions seemed unacceptable to me. (I mean no one would behave like that) then again each character wasn’t well written and thus that affected the overall performance of the actors. The story wasn’t based on and or wasn’t following any main concept. in other words, the story did not have much of any main plot other than the main leads' relationships with each other. the main lead evidently died three times and somehow just resurrected (ok that is fine for once but thrice felt too much for me). the next problem is something related the story just pulls up concepts and facts out of thin air to aid the story. The relationship was also formed based on some incidents only.

All together I cannot say that this was a good drama neither can I say that this was a bad one.

So all the best and happy watching.

"wounds tell other that your body is hurt. tears tell others that heart is hurt". give it a chance.

Writing a review to this drama is unimaginably hard. I just have no idea if I should rant the series or should I praise the series. I am not Chinese and facts such as if the vibe has something to do with Japan and all I have no idea. And again the story itself was something different and the production was also very different. The dark and ominous vibe of the gong house and the mist covered jiuchen helps the story keep its mystery. The start of the story was truly engaging but after sometime the story become different and the main leads story was not as notable as the second main leads. The climax of story was rushed through 2 episodes and that was truly disappointing if they had taken more time to conclude the story by adding may be 2 or 3 more episodes it would have been totally different. The ending was a true cliff hanger you really don’t know what happened to some characters. For example the ending of the female lead was indefinite. They really don’t explain about the after math of the second female lead. Leaving the male lead at the gates of gong house was terribly cruel .the story didn’t really keep me guessing till the end but was interesting. The male lead was less interesting than the second male lead. gong zi yu (zhang liang he) was a simple character and the character development was also slow and very simple but the second male lead gong shangjue (rayan cheng) was complex and the character clearly had a development and it was a good one too. Plus the relationship between male lead and female lead was said to be a strong one with less number of things happening to them and the character development was something related to trauma and not the relationship between the lead. but then again the character development for the second male lead clearly was related to the second female lead and there is a definite reason why they can be a good couple. The series was a philosophical one and the metaphors used where reasonable though some might find it dragging and unnecessary it was quite enjoyable to me.

Overall the one thing I can surely say is that you have watch this drama at your own risk. You might feel like troughing the entire story in the trash or could feel like keeping it a souvenir. All the best.
