Am I the only one that thinks the male lead had way more chemistry with the artist than the female lead? (I think…
The male lead was the most annoying character in the show and had no chemistry at all with all the actors/actresses. The rest of the cast was perfect. Unfortunately, some young, boring actor always prevents a K-Drama from being great or perfect.
I usually love this genre mix but this show is a mess in comparison to the best and similar shows of 2022, like 'From Now On, Showtime', 'Military Prosecutor Doberman', 'The Killer's Shopping List' or 'Again My Life'.
Do Hwan is not funny at all. I don't know if we watch the same show, but he is annoying and corrupted. He's the…
@ponnu It was a misunderstanding as you wrote "both mls". D.O. is not the only popular face in this show, probably to a young generation. 2, 3 of the middle-aged, legendary supporting actors rank above D.O. who still has a long way to go as an actor. Kim Sang Ho delivered solid performances in more than 10 great dramas and is one of the supporting actors who sometimes save a show. They're the reason why I love Korean movies and shows.
This kind of reminds me of the fiery priest. Both the MLs are funny and crazy. They both are like shoot first…
Do Hwan is not funny at all. I don't know if we watch the same show, but he is annoying and corrupted. He's the old-fashioned KDrama character used to torturous drag out resolving a single case of which the main culprit is a dirty higher-up bastard. The show is great but I wish for a more modern approach, where the hero celebrates little victories in each episode before facing the biggest bastard in the final episode (kind of like 'Doctor Prisoner'). Up until now, 'Bad Prosecutor' is nothing new or refreshing but the same old same old, and very overrated in comparison to more original shows. I guess, the "Oppas" are contributing to the hype.
Okay. Besides vietnam war controversy, some people in MDL and twitter called this drama is a makjang, second penthouse,…
I started with episode 1 today and I get the boring 'Remarriage and Desires, 'Eve' or 'Penthouse' vibe. I hate such shows and I never found something entertaining in the world of the 1% jerks.
Is this similar to 'Remarriage and Desires', 'Eve' or 'The Penthouse'? Because I hate shows that revolve around the 1% and their f*ckery. I'm not interested in their world, lifestyle, standards or conventions. I love revenge against them, but not if they use the elite's environment as center stage. I started with episode 1 today and I get the boring 'Remarriage and Desires' vibe.
It had to become a penthouse script :( But the actors are so much better hereAfter ep 5 it went downhill... but…
Penthouse is one of the worst Korean shows ever. Why do I need to watch the bloody 1% and their f*ckery? Their whole lifestyle, standards and conventions are so laughable. I'm all for Soju and Ramen, what those jerks call "poor people's" drink and food
better than model family? yes narco saints? no that just my opinion
I watch Korean movies and shows for a reason, since I discovered the movies of Kim Ki-duk in the early 2000s. Narco-saints is too westernized, male-dominated and boring. I need the Korean style, culture and overacting which I love so much, a good portion of females, and so on. All this lacks Narco-saints. It's great for people who aren't focused on Korean content.
This is one of the better netflix originals, halfway through now and really digging it. Is there some netizen…
I love it so far. I didn't expect it to be a sci-fi mystery suspense thriller; I thought it would be some E.T. crap. Also, amazing chemistry between (and performance of) the two female leads. I would have used a preview sequence as opening scene bc many viewers seemingly skip this show after the slow starting episode. The first entertaining, never-boring and great Netflix original since 'Juvenile Justice'.
I like it so far. It's always refreshing to watch shows different from the overrated, boring stuff (like 'Love in contract'). Don't listen to negative comments here. MDL is -despite its claim to be a platform for fans of Asian movies and shows- a place full of trolls or narcissistic, attention-seeking and self-important Netizens. Don't mind them.
OMG, i'm on ep 2 and Yoon Ha Kyung is so annoying... x) she already has too much screen time lol. And why so many…
Another misogynist. With the exception of Namgoong (of course), the rest of the male leads were annoying like hell. The females give Kdramas life. Actors like Namgoong are rare. Many of the young actors ruin entire dramas, but are casted due to the PR concept of a childish pop entertainment industry. If you want all-male cast or a romance between men watch BL shit, or just watch gayish videos of BTS. Have a good life
But that's the type of guy so annoying in many Kdramas, with some of them even ruining entire shows. I'm not a fan of those wanna-be actors pushed and promoted by a childish pop entertainment industry. I'm all for the traditional acting school. Unfortunately, many shows are the contrary in order to attract a not so intellectual young generation screaming for comic-like wax figures with limited amount of talent.
My favourite korean action thriller drama -VAGABOND and Favourite korean psychological thriller drama-MOUSE. LEE…
Lee Seung Gi is proof that a once average actor can improve and thus become an amazing actor. The many young, stiff and boring average actors should learn from Seung Gi.
I wanna watch this again. But I never rewatch anything:') I don't wanna be disappointed too since I consider this…
I was disappointed after rewatching this show. ... The SIG shows which I rewatch over and over again are: High School King of Savvy, Shopping King Louie and, The Master's Sun. ... The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is worth to be watched BUT not worth to be rewatched.
('A Korean Odysee' is a big mess, couldn't finish rewatching it; even the supporting cast often praised here on mdl is annoying like hell.)
