Yes, Gameboys wasn’t making a great creative leap. However, it was the first BL which used the video calling format (as far as I know) and has no doubt inspired many people to make their own BL’s with a similar format. I don’t know for sure if Truly Very Yours was inspired by Gameboys. It may have. It may not have. I do think that it is possible to create a BL series, especially one with a low budget like Truly Very Yours, in 2 weeks though. In terms of Truly Very Yours copying Gameboys, I purposely used a fake title to try to hook in potential readers like how YouTubers do. When I said that they wanted their own version of Gameboys, I meant more like the format rather than the story, which I do acknowledge are completely different. And it’s okay to be inspired by Gameboys. I think that Black Sheep was inspired by Gameboys to create Hello Stranger, which is my favourite pinoy BL so far and which I like so much more than Gameboys. I know that you also like Hello Stranger more than Gameboys too. I like how you stood your ground when people commented hate under your review for Gameboys. Every opinion is valid.
