Surprising that it took this long for a BL to uses a Grindr-like app in its story since gay apps are essentially a part of gay dating. I'm enjoying this series so far! Love the banter between the two leads. Much better than Truly Very Yours imo.
There's a lot of filler in this series, but I am enjoying it a lot! I love #TauTep's dynamic and am glad that the series got extended to 10 episodes. 5 episodes is definitely not enough for this story.
Nice Rapport Between Leads, But Interactive Component Hinders... Another pinocy BL with virtual calls that is heavily inspired by GameBoys with its characters being quite similar. The bashful with the player. Kumusta Bro? literally began the same way with someone livestreaming and bringing on a guest to co-host or to challenge and the guest turns out to be a pretty blunt flirter. I do must sat that the two leads, Thirdy and Bench are both quite attractive though, especially Bench! However, the interactive component of the series does hinder the series as whenever Thirdy or Bench refer to the viewers, it interrupts the flow of the story and bloats the running time. All in all, the first episode was quite dull. Though there were some good moments in the middle where Thirdy and Bench were just talking to one another, joking around with one another and insulting one another. It is clear that they do have a nice rapport going on. I hope that the challenge will help to further their relationship as it seems like Bench will fall for Thirdy hard and hopefully, Thirdy will fall back...
I'm hooked after finishing the first episode but I hate that the series perpetuates victim-blaming by having Praewa beaten up because Aya thought that Praewa seduced her boyfriend, Brave (which she didn't even). And even if she did, it takes two to tango. Brave is the one in a relationship, not Praewa. And he just got a slap in the face while Praewa was ganged up on and beaten to a pulp. But of course, it's easier to target her because she's a girl. Ugh. I hate seeing women tear each other down over the actions of their boyfriends. We see this in the real world too unfortunately.
For me, there was too much unnecessary filler scenes in Episode 2. Did we really have to learn about the "two truths and one lie" of the friends, which took up like half of the episode? This series is only 5 episodes. Shouldn't they focus more on the main couple?
A baby would have been perfect at the ending. Like a baby sleeping in between Yuki and Akira with the close-up of their rings. That would have been so good! Especially since Akira wanted to have a child. By including a baby, the show could have showed that gay couples can have children and be a family.
I'm starting to find Win quite annoying to be honest, always expecting Tops to cook for him, complaining when he takes too slow and criticizing his food.
I thought I would be more excited about this than I am. I don't think the story is well thought out but maybe…
Agreed! From the trailer, the story felt random, like GMMTV just wanted to bring the holy trinity together and story didn't matter. I hope that I'm wrong though. *fingers-crossed*
I searched multiple sections of the lyrics that I could hear and found one review of the episode that said they…
I thought about doing that but I don’t know any Korean so it would’ve been impossible for me lol. It’s such a good song though! Hopefully, it will get released soon!
Does anyone know the song that is playing when Kwon Gi Do is on stage avoiding his father's campaign people while Gang-Tae looks longingly at how free Gi Do is? Shazam isn't able to identify it.
Yap is so insecure. I don't even think Sakristan is the "first" because Gameboys came one week earlier with good…
So true! GameBoys is just leagues better than Sakristan and it's good that the views and the hype is showing it! I believe that Sakristan is just getting so much views because it's being released on a channel with over 1 million subscribers because it really isn't good. On a side note, Hello Stranger is registering very impressive view numbers! On top of having a big production company behind it, I guess that it does help that Tony Labrusca is fronting the series as he has over a million followers on IG to promote the show to.
Lol. What's up with the title card in Episode 5 that said "The Philippines' FIRST YouTube Trending BL Series"? I'm pretty sure that it's a cheap attack on GameBoys, which has been receiving much more acclaim and hype than Sakristan. Darryl Yap is so petty. lol
