No doubt, this movie was based from a real incident that happend with SiChuan Airline flight 8633 from ChongQing (China) to Lhasa (Tibet) on 15th May 2018.
Despite the chaotic situation in the cockpit, Capt. Liu's immediate reactions to salvaged the "crippled" plane and made it safely landed at ShuangLiu Int' Airport, Chengdu.
But in his interviews with reporters after the accident, he did admitted that he previously had watched a similar flight accident (not sure is a documentary or movie he had watched) that happend in the exactly same incident with British Airways flight 5390 from Birmingham (England) en route to Málaga (Spain) on 10th June 1990.
Capt. Liu himself did mentioned he didn't expected in his entire career as a commercial airline's pilot, the same incident as he had watched would happened to his flight.
With his previous flying experience, he was a retired China's Air Force pilot before he joined SiChuan Airlines. So when such incident happend in real, with his experience and he remembers how the captain of British Airways flight 5390 did to salvaged the plane and saved his co pilot (which was the same as Capt. Liu's co pilot, was sucked half body out from the cockpit's screen and hung at the front of the plane).
These both incidents - British Airways flight 5390 and SiChuan Airlines flight 8633 coincidentally happend with the exactly same way of accident - the screen of the cockpit blew off and sucked off the co pilots.
That's why whenever you travel in a flight, eventhou the seat belt sign is off, but is very much highly advisable you should not release your safety belt. You'll never know what's next gonna happen and with the tied on safety belt, it may have save you from being throw off from your seat or get injure. Unless you need to go to the toilet, but be very cautious, walk and grab tied on every seats as you walk by and hold on to something like a steel bar in the toilet, in case the flight went thru an "air pocket" and send a sudden turbulence.
Besides these 2 exactly same accidents happened, it also happened with Southwest Airlines flight 1380 from La-Guardia (New York) to Love Field (Dallas) on 17th April 2018, while the plane's engine blew off at cruising on 32,000ft, the engine's cowl fragments hit and blew off a passenger's window seat killing 1 passenger. 20 months or 1 year and 8 months earlier, the same airline company, Southwest Airlines flight 3472 had happened with the same accident on 27th August 2016.
So, (in my personal point of opinion), this sort of accidents are quite common. That is also why whenever I used to travelled (alot) for my work those days, I never like to select or booked a window seat. I always preferred centre seats and depends on what type of aircraft I was taking, if a smaller plane, I preferred between from row 5 to 12's seats. If a larger aircraft like the wide body 777, I preferred centre part of seats or sometimes, if long haul flights to Europe by Airbus A380, I usually preferred business class for a more lengthy space and restful flight.
I'm at episode 15. Gosh ... Such a boring and slow melodrama. Compare to The Imperial Doctress (2016). Thou the storyline and characters or names according to real history recordings of Ming Dynasty's emperors are some sort similar, but this drama somehow it's sort of slow going or in another way of describing, long winded. I doubt I can finish watching this whole drama.
Is this happy ending? Sorry, I dont mind tragedy nor angst but Im a sucker for happy end...
Don't worry of this drama had a sad or happy endding. Just watch and goes along the storyline. The point is that, it's not how sad about the ending, but is the storyline. It is a great drama, and it waste “no time and other unnecessary” sort of storyline. Just go along with it, most part of the drama is more about politics, and the main cast - Mei Chang Shu / Lin Shu's master plans of seeking justice for his 70,000's troops false accusations of injusticed murder 13 year ago. His return to the capital is to seek justice and also partly avenge those that set the trap that caused his entire troops perished. You'll be amazed by his intelligent master plans how he finished up one by one his enemies. This storyline's troop - The Red Flame Army / in Chinese - Chi Yan Jun, indeed had some real historical recordings. It's not a boring story.
Thrilling but certain parts are quite hilarious. Waiting for the next release - The Worm Valley ( See You at YunNan) But no doubt, YunNan for thousands of years are well known for Grubs poisoning. It's a true fact.
Assuming if this version of story is a the true event, after thousands of years later now in this era, we are watching it, I think it's simply just a foolish “kamakazi” mission.
But I doubt in this version of story, Qin Shi Huang or his name YingZhen, I don't think is accurate about his identity (born as the son of Lü Bu Wei). Thou his mother is from Zhao empire, but is not made pregnant by Lü Bu Wei.
I rather preferred from another version, "The Legend of Hao Lan", that is more logic.
Lü Bu Wei was the son of a wealthy merchant from Wei empire and he travels around 7 empires for his business. He then later met the mother of YingZhen / Qin Shi Huang or better known as Zhao Ji while she was in difficulties.
Lü Bu Wei was a man hungered for authorities, fame and wealth. While Zhao Ji (mother of YingZhen) was seeking for opportunities to avenge her stepmother and her step sister that almost ruined her life.
So the two met and had comes to certain agreements like a trade and entered Zhao palace with motives.
From there, Zhao Ji's first dance performance to the emperor of Zhao (to gain her value to entered the palace of Zhao)had attracted at then the "hostage prince" of Qin - Ying Zi Chu, (later will be the father of Qin Shi Huang / YingZhen).
I think this version from The Legend of Hao Lan is more logic than this version The King's Women about the real identity of Qin Shi Huang / YingZhen's biological father.
Is not by Lü Bu Wei.
Don't forget, thou thousands of years ago, people may thought that there's no DNA comparison to confirmed one's true bloodline, but with just a simple method by using a bowl of clean drinking water, a drop of blood of the biological father or mother's, with the child's blood as well, if the bloods all matched as it merged together, is proven 100% accuracy.
If YingZhen is not pure Qin empire Ying's bloodline, it's totally impossible the throne is (was) his.
And thou history known him Qin Shi Huang as a tyrant, a cruel emperor, but I think he is (was) a pathetic person or had a pathetic life ever since he was a child. That leads him to become a tyrant and merciless and full of "insecurities". In another way of saying if it's on today our this era, considered as a person with psychological problems.
Thou as a tyrant, but doesn't mean that he had no "great works". He succeeded unified the 7 empires into one - The Great Qin Empire, the beginning of China. (Included Zhao empire, Yan empire, Wei empire, Qi empire, Chu empire, Han empire, Shu empire) And also created strict laws / rules, money, and certainly, The Great Wall of China. Only is later his successor his son Qin Er Shi was an idiot that lost the empire to Han dynasty.
Thou certain parts of this drama may have some unnecessaries, but overall it's a beautiful fairytaled love story. Finally they are together and good ending, everyone is happy. Except if compared with Eternal Love (2017), Eternal Love's sceneries are more beautiful than this Eternal Love The Pillow Book.
Thou certain parts of this drama may have some unnecessaries, but overall it's a beautiful fairytaled love story. Finally they are together. Except comparing to Eternal Love
I didn't know this The Myth has a remake drama version. Currently watching til episode 10.
Thou this drama is quite long with 50 episodes, still have a long way more to go.
Thou I'm currently at episode 10, I think (just my personal opinion), comparing this drama with the original The Myth movie 2005 by Jackie Chan & Kim Hee Sun, I think the original movie's film production, quality, acting and storyline are much more better this drama's version.
I'm watching this drama version because believing Hu Ge is a good actor. But the storyline somehow out of my expectations. I thought it will be same with a touching love story and heroic act like the original movie's story as Jackie acted as a general and Kim Hee Sun acted as a Korean princess and they had a 2,000 years promise.
Overall in my opinion, I still felt that the movie version's storyline is much more better than this drama version's.
Excellent drama ! I'm usually not that type easily weep over a film or show person, but this drama Battle of Changsha, I can't help, many scenes I find myself shedding tears. Thou it's a much older film (2014's production), but I must say, the film's quality was excellent !! All the war's scenarios was well acted and very real. Ever since many years ago that film Pearl Harbour was shown, I find myself very much obsessed with WW II or Pacific War or Sino Japanese War's films / movies / dramas and documentaries films.
Before my grand father passed away, he often told me stories of Sino Japanese war or WW II's stories. So from young, I was very much been told about WW II and why our family migrated to here Britain. But I can't really imagined how terrifying or horrible was all the wars are.
Even from that movie Pearl Harbour it was just shown how the Japs attacked Pearl Harbour, but about China's Sino Japanese wars, I totally have no imaginations. This drama gave me a better "picture" on how bad or how horrible was the war about. That's why in many scenes it saddened me.
I guess my great grand father was one of the lucky ones on those days to had migrated here during the Sino Japanese war time. My ancestry was originated from Guang Dong, China. Thou China and many other Asian countries suffered, eventually we the younger generation that still surviving in today, we'll always remember how our ancestors had sacrificed for us.
But back to the film Pearl Harbour, the most satisfying part was, the American troops went for a suicide mission on dropping the atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagoya. I really salute these war heroes. If it's not these 2 atomic bombs, Japan will never end the Pacific Wars and surrender. The war perhaps will drag longer and more lifes will be lost.
On June 2017 I did went for a summer holiday trip to Hawaii. Same time I also went to Pearl Harbour Memorial Park, Honolulu and pay my tribute to the sunken USS Arizona. A memorial for Pearl Harbour attack. My heart still weeps for the bravery sacrificed heroes.
Storyline just okay. Only the last 3 episodes were the interesting parts. But it's not hard to guess who's the actual maniac serial killer. One thing I'm confused, why when each time after Qin Ming concluded a case of murder, he will always got to see those the dead victims ? Is he having a “3rd eyes” that able to see the dead ? Overall this whole drama not only about autopsy, also involved in police crime investigation. Somehow, I think it's production is still a little too “mild” if comparing to a few years ago tv series CSI Crime Scene Investigation : Miami, Las Vegas & New York. These 3 it had too many seasons and episodes in each seasons. I was following all 3 from the very beginning of the first season till almost season 12 - 15. Almost more than 500 episodes all. But no doubt, comparing with CSI, this is just too mild in average EQ level. In CSI, there's lot more to learned as in certain chemicals shouldn't be mixed for personal knowledge to know, but not to used it or imitate it for trying to create some crime.
Anyone re-watch this film lately again ? Since beginning of January 2020, with the Wuhan Virus or better known by it's medical names - nCov / Corona virus from China.
This Korean movie was produced on 2013. At then when watching, I believe most people who had watched this movie perhaps was having the same thoughts with me, - “ It's Just A Movie”.
With the recently Wuhan virus / nCov / Corona virus, as now re - watching this movie again, it kinda gives me the chill. How damp coincidence can this drama was produced on 2013, and with now 2020's corona virus be so similar ??
Thou there are several things didn't happen like the government ordered the military to mass murder shooting the civilians, but the main point is about the story of the spread of the virus and the whole spreading to the entire city.
Yanwan had a long ass murder trail she should be on True Crime
This women is a damp selfish, wicked, poisonous, greedy, vengeful, arrogant, ungrateful, insane and inhumane person. In actual history if you google Emperor Qian Long (HongLi)'s history, indeed this Wei Yan Wan was a real existing person as one the emperor's noble consort. But what's disappointing is, at the end, among so many prices of Emperor Qian Long, I just don't understand why Emperor Qian Long chose her son to be the successor for his throne. As this noble consort Wei Yan Wan had so many bad teachings to her son while he was still young. Such a terribly bad character mother that already had influenced her son, couldn't understand why him as the successor. But served her right at the end, after all her terrible poisonous doings and sins, she deserves the punishments granted by the grand empress dowager and the emperor himself. Although she was punished everyday for 40 years with some ancient poison soups, even after her death, this women deserved to be at hell. That's why (I just suggest) if anyone is going to visit China, especially if to BeiJing, don't go visit to the forbidden palace. Reasons being why is that, imagine during that last dynasty Qing / Manchu that rule over China for 276 years (from 1636 by Emperor Hong Taiji till the last Emperor PuYi 1912), totally 11 emperors for that throne, every emperor's era and their consorts till the guards and maidens, how many uncounted grievance souls had accused to death wrongly ? Are those souls really had crossed over after their wrongful death ? A friend's cousin was born with a difficult gift - having a pair of “the third eyes”, eventually after her trip and visit to the forbidden palace, what she described was so eerily and disturbing. Beyond every corners inside of the forbidden palace, normal people without the third eyes gift, can't see how many uncountable trapped souls and looked really horrifying, still wondering around, as seems like they are still unaware the Qing / Manchurian era had long gone. They still waiting for something like a closure, or waiting for those that had accused them wrongfully to death for vengeance. The most eeriest part of the forbidden palace was the emperor's throne as she described. It looked grant and majestic, symbolizes the highest authority, but that seat itself is a real curse. It doesn't matter what nations are you or your religions, wether you believe or not, some people who are weak in certain sense, after visited the palace and got ill mysteriously.
i know its tragic story all comments and tag said itself but what i want know is they ever spend happy moment…
Yes, they had loving moments, while RuYi and HongLi while they were still young. But if you watch carefully and digest the characters of both RuYi and HongLi, you'll see it was RuYi that gave in many times of all types of unfair situations or a matter. It was RuYi shown more love and forgiveness for HongLi in their entire lifes. Many scenes after you watched, you'll feel so unfair, so sorry for RuYi that how the hell she could felt for HongLi that doesn't qualified to be a husband. There's one part one English painter / artist that served as an artist to paint or draw photos for the emperor and empress, RuYi had a short conversation with him. The English painter told RuYi if at his hometown, marriage is only involved a man and a women. If should the man or woman felt that he or she doesn't love each other anymore, there is a such term called divorce. You can see Ruiz's reaction was impressed, agreed, admired but disappointed because such term of law isn't allow in their culture.
Just completed all 44 episodes. I think this drama deserves just an ok, not too bad but neither interesting. I find some part of actings are just unnecessary but just to drag the drama longer. Besides, it's not just about there isn't any hotties acted and made this drama boring, but it's the story itself. This drama there's not much chemistries but just a string of crime stories. And these crime stories are just boring cases. If personally my preference and comparison, I find the Tang Dynasty time's Detective Dee's crime stories are even better and more mysterious and more exciting.
It's a good story, but needs a little more patience to follow on.
About Aarif Rahman ( Zhong Zhen Wu You ) I think he holds the second time record as “The Most Handsome Emperor / Prince” again since acted in the drama - Empress Of China with Fan Bing Bing as Li Zhi.
Let's count how many had died - 1. Long Yue(assistant owner of tea house) 2. Sun Ya Li 3. Sun Ya Li's father 4. Ling Yue / Qing Hu (princess's maid) 5. Crown Prince 6. Crown Prince's Consort 7. Rong Qi (Emperor of Qi) 8. Ning Qian Yi (Duke of Chen) 9. Ling Shen (assassination agency's leader) 10. Fu Chou / Zhong Zhen Wu Chou 11. Empress of Lin 12. Emperor of Lin / Zhong Zhen Yun Heh 13. Hen Xiang / Qing Xiang (princess's sister) 14. Xiang Ying (ex body guard of Fu Chou) 15. Empress Fu Yuan 16. Chun Ni (Sun Ya Li's maid) 17. Xiao Wei (tea house's maid) 18. Yu Shi Hai (minister) 19. Yu Wen Jie 20. Li Zhi Yuan 21. Prime Minister Qin ( Zhong Zhen Wu You's teacher) 22. Ma Shi Lang
Just completed the whole drama. I don't quite like it. Very stressful. It's not just a simple love story by it's cover. And also it's not just a simple revenge story as well like any ordinary family revenge. It's a very complicated science fiction based story with many conspiracies, making use of each individuals, misleadings and switched identities type of complicated yet confusing drama. Also contains disturbing material, subject or information(s) about the storyline. Even for me I can fully understand Mandarin, read and speak Mandarin, and yet this whole drama just stirring and leading to many confusions. Many parts I have to pay extra attention to follow the story and replay backwards to understand what it was saying and what's about. But yet still leads to a pile of confusions and complications. For anyone that has the expectation about romance in this drama, including myself, the romance sucks. Coz this whole show it's about conspiracy and that crazy science fiction story base. The romance in this drama the most is only have about 15% play, especially in the beginning part, it does lured audience to watch this drama as the focus was playing about the “hot” romance part between the male lead (Shén Jūn) and female lead (Xú Shū Bèi). But after somewhere between episode 12 onwards, the story started to get really “stirry” and messed up everything to get more confusions. I think it's a lousy storyline, but certainly it's just my opinion, doesn't mean everyone must think the same as me. Summarize, I regret watching this drama, a waste of time.
This story IS NOT similar to Legend Of FuYao. It's 80% more similar to The Flame's Daughter. It's genre Wu Xia, Romance, Vengeance and Grace. Ever notice the female lead's main costume is red ? And her martial art's practice is belong to fiery type, and the male lead's costume is white and his martial art's practice is more belong to cold practice. Which is very same with the female and male leads' in The Flame's Daughter's story and setting. And also had the similarity about the style of their romance.
