Doesn't do the original story justice. It was alright but there wasn't as much chemistry as og and it felt way too long. I couldn't wait for it to be over, mainly because of the pacing and script. Atoms character was annoying and childish. He was dimwitted, whiny and didn't have much connection with Kongthap. How would he know what alcohol tastes like, Isn't he supposed to be underage? Also his mom waking him up to eat like a toddler, like grow up. I didn't like Mudmee much either, she did the same as Atom and assumed way too much. Both of their respective 'partners' had patience and acted much more normal. Yes I get being a teenager and feeling scared of how everyone will react. Also the fears of a crush lying/cheating/not into you. That part was justified but I'm so sick of characters exaggerated actions and expressions, it's so fake and while I get some of it is can be used for comedy not every scene has to be so dramatized. That being said it wasn't a bad series I'm just fed up seeing the over acting in a lot of bls, mainly Thai.
Boring in my opinion, took me three tries to watch the full thing. Ayumu (office worker) was over dramatic with his character, acted like a schoolboy virgin and was hesitant to date his own crush... As for Yama( vending machine filler) he persueed what he wanted, initiated dates but got jealous of a phone strap because you suspect it was from a ex...Lol it could be form anyone. Also ew how could you not notice someone is a smoker.
Huh was who I was rooting for. He delivered everytime, consistently a great rapper and performer. Jambino was another of my favorites, his voice was so different and I'm glad he tried something new, it suited him (like water). I was disappointed by Lee younggji, in my opinion she only had one good stage (witch). I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it's not based on who is actually the ultimate rapper. My favorite songs from the season were , Flick, My way, Like water, Deja Vu. Jay park made me like the songs with him in them. -Second round did they actually like macdaddy's rap, to me it was a fail. -Round three I'm surprised they eliminated Cho Terry, he sounded good. -Team song mission Groveyroom team: I loved the beat and song. So glad polodared was eliminated finally, he didn't have what it takes. -Diss mission R.tee and just his round three was epic, they won by a landslide. I was happy Damini got eliminated, her words sound like gibberish.
Way too many misunderstandings and problems for such a short series. Actors kissed every episode which made me keep watching. It was quality acting, I could feel the love. Jaemin was guarded but I mostly agreed with his thinking when it came to protecting himself. As soon as you see something suspicious in your partner it's good to bring it up and clarify. Although he shouldn't have gave in to Sori's demands. Also he was such a hypocrite, Jaemin was suspicious and jealous of Namyi having someone else but cheats and lies himself. Jaemin was attracted to Taeha which is fine even if you're in a relationship but he willingly let Taeha get too close. Namyi was a carefree guy and I liked his character. He was honest and great boyfriend material. In episode 5, wow he predicted another guy liking Jaemin. As for Taeha he was trash too, putting the moves on someone with a partner already is disgusting. Why would anyone want to steal someones boyfriend when they most likely will cheat with someone else. Sori was a horrible person. I knew as soon as she was first introduced she was trouble. Manipulating and threatening Jaemin for her obsessive love when she knew she'd be rejected by Namyi. Give up girl and move on. I was really wishing Namyi would've threw his drink on her.
I did like it. For the plot mostly, a plus that it's an short series and light drama. Hayama was a good guy, his life and journey made me feel bad for him and hope for his happiness. I was thankful his character turned down Shirasaki multiple offers of sex. It felt more intimate at the end when they knew each other better and confessed their mutual feelings. Also I liked the flashbacks of their past, as it gave more insight on their feelings. I didn't really like Shirasaki as a character and I thought Hayama could do better. I found Shirasaki to be awkward, a bit rude and idiotic. He's a rookie actor paired with a well known celebrity, of course people are going to question it and think you won't be on par with Hayama. Because you won't be; experience, hard work and talent make a actor. He seemed to be a bit jealous of Hayama. All the scenes with Yamase were just hilarious and I enjoyed the jealousy.
I finally got around to part 2. I enjoyed this series and while I am unhappy about only 4 of them surviving I still recommend watching. Ae sol was such an idiot, I kinda was hoping for the group to let her be killed. She has made so many mistakes, usually at the cost of other people's lives. Youngsoo having a psychotic breakdown and killing almost everyone was so out of the blue. I would've expected him to kill himself before that possibly. Also very unrealistic him killing that many before he gets taken down. I did not expect the plot twist of lies and deceit some of the group members pulled. I was actually impressed how it came together. Was hoping for a bit more romantic moments, like obviously this is the end of the world anyone could be killed at any second. Also I wish they showed the other survivors in the present. Someone else said this but it was kinda a cop out to resolve the apocalypse off screen.
Lil boi won, no qualms there. I preferred layone and Wonstein the most, they were unique. I wanted Changbin and Ah byung yoong to stay longer. Cox billy was one of my favorite parts, dissing swings was a boss move. I don't like Swings, music and personality wise, everything he does screams attention seeker. Also how disrespectful putting hands on another contestant. Round three/part two: Kitsyojii, Mono and Rohann didn't deserve to go home. For song challenge: VVS and Freak are great songs. For VVS, both teams did so good. Khundi panda crew just felt so complete, while Mirani's voice and presensce made her stand out. Diss battle: Mirani/Mushvenom vs Kaogaii/Untell were tied in my eyes. Swings would've still won without being aggressive and putting Skyminhyuk in a headlock, totally unprofessional. Mckdaddy throwing that money was fire. Song challenge: I preferred Wonstein, Untell and layone over the winners who they were up against. Semi final: Khundi Panda - Hero was better deserved to be in the final. Only song from the finale I liked was New New.
Overall pretty good. Was a bit too short, and because of that they didn't show much character growth. As someone else said they should've focused on developing the story and relationship instead of love rivals and having misunderstandings. Communication issues on both sides and people meddling in their relationship causing strife. Some worthwhile kisses and NC scenes which was a plus. Overview/spoilers They meet in high school, grew to like each other and kissed. Takashi was going to leave home and they promised to leave together but Miyata didn't show up. Why because someone (eventually finds out it was Sugimoto, who a 'relative' of Takashi) sends him a picture of Takashi in bed and tells him about them betting if he'd show up. Takashis' mom kicks him out when she hears he's gay. He gets adopted and changes his name. Years later (10?) they finally meet again when Miyata is supposed to interview Takashi. They dance around each other flirting and kissing before they finally became a couple. Takashi has an assistant who he had a previous one night stand with that tries to get between them but is unsuccessful. Miyata is very wary of getting his heartbroken so he has his guard up around his heart. While Takashi confesses his love a lot, Miyata doesn't believe him and is scared to say it back. They brake up for a bit, Takashi goes to his mom and tells her he is not inheriting the family. Miyata shows up, they get back together again and profess their love.
I absolutely loved it. I do wish there was more sweet couple moments and NC scenes. I'd be happy with extra episodes or S2, just want to see more of the main couple. I understood where Wei Qian was coming from, he practically raised Xiao Yuan so I get he'd have trouble accepting him romantically. Plus a male, so there is that aspect too. The abusive/druggie mother he had to deal with was so heartbreaking. I gasped when he told Lili she's becoming like the mother. I actually thought that too. Xiao Yuan was patient and basically did whatever he thought Wei Qian wanted. I loved his character. He was honest and embraced his feelings once they were out in the open. Three year separation though, way too long. Some unanswered questions, like how long ago did Lili and San pang get together?
Honestly I feel like juhee was the only sane character here and someone you would easily find in daily life. I…
I just found her character to be annoying. But yeah she wasn't crazy obsessed like it could get. I'm glad for the happy ending as that's the only reason why I watch tv shows. Since real life isn't always happy.
While I liked the series I don't enjoy all the bullying and violence. Taeyi had no right to be so aggressive towards Seheon. While I get Seheon reminds Taeyi of his brother it's not his fault they are similar. I will say Seheon was so stubborn and annoying Taeyi constantly hounding him for reasons and explanations is not the way to go. Especially since they weren't close enough yet, Taeyi didn't have to explain himself to Seheon. Minus the couple times of assault. And in later scenes when the situation was reversed and Taeyi wanted to know Seheon's problem Seheon yelled at him. I felt so sad for Doyoon, how mean Juha was to him. While I don't condone people kissing another without their consent it's no reason to be so vile. Juha was so twisted, he was taking out his anger on everyone. Especially punching Doyoon, threatening Taeyi and assaulting/whatever he was trying to do to Seheon, sickening. Juhee wasn't a great girl either. From being a bitch to Seheon and not taking the hint with Taeyi. What I did enjoy was watching Seheon and Taeyi grow closer. Seheon falling for Taeyi and Seheon becoming Taeyi's comfort place. Also Seheon's friendship with Doyoon. While it's not really a new plot I liked it.
Liked Nafla, Coogie, loppy and kid mille the most. The winner was obvious candidate, he was great in all his stages. Show was a bit too uncomfortable in the beginning with all the beef between rappers plus all the fake apologizes. I didn't really care for Swings and the first couple episodes of how they changed the show. The money part was weird. For the group battle Nafla team definitely won, by a land slide. I was glad to finally see different contestants than the same coming back. Favorite songs 119, boss thang and orange.
Kind of a boring season. Memorable performances were Red Sun and Twisted. Wodie go child, young b and junoflo were my favorites. Woo won Jae was really different and I enjoyed his stages. While I wasn't too upset about the winner I wouldn't say he's number one out of the contestants for this season. He definitely got better as the show progressed. I don't really see why Nucksal got so much hype, while he's steady it's nothing special. Also Penomeco shouldn't have been eliminated against the girl.
Bewhy, well deserved. 👏🏼 Other contestants I liked; One, Flowsik, cjamm, Killagramz. A lot of previous contestants came back. In ep 6 I think Killagramz and hyoeun shouldn't have been eliminated and superbee and zitsuh should have.
Minho should have won. He did way better for all his performances and lyric wise. Okey dokey and turtle ship are forever iconic. The one on one eliminations were kinda unfair as a lot of good rappers had to go while low grade contestants stayed. Cypher was a mess, it would've been better if they just said the contestants had only 6-8 lines they could only do. It really showed who can make up bars on the spot though. It shouldn't have been allowed for Black nut to come back, yes team San E eliminated him for a dumb reason but there should be no take backs. Plus Black nut always acting up put a damper on the show. As for the diss battle the winning teams were the losing teams to me. Vernon at the time was too inexperienced for this show but he got so much unnecessary hate. Jooheon did pretty well I'd say, wish I got to see more from him. Haha I never knew sik-k was on this show.
It was comical at times but I didn't like how childish the main leads were, in the beginning. I know it's a loose depiction of history but I wonder what's accurate and fictional. As for the bother he changed too much; from a caring brother, to trying to make his brother cheat, to controlling, then at the end being happy when his brother followed his dreams.
