I asked a simple question above and it has been turned into an argumentative plot. I would rather a drama where the couples ride and die together. No secret or hidden agendas all in the name of sacrifice and protection.
I am not being specific about characters here, I am talking about ancient dramas generally. We can’t quantify pain or determine who should feel more pain by our sacrifice. We owe our loved ones the truth not some illogical findings after they are gone.
Perhaps I am yet to understand the entire concept of sacrifice.

Not talking about Qing Mu or Bai Jue in the second in the arc alone. I’m talking about Yuemi dying for Tian Qi, Tian Qi almost sacrificing himself for Shanggu hence being called evil and demonic till date. Bai Jue future plans to save Shanggu/Houchi and replace herself with him. JingJian dying for Feng Ran. I don’t appreciate that kind of love.

It’s a drama yes, but I will appreciate a future production that’s is in touch with reality, because that sacrificial love thingy is unrealistic.
You want to die for someone and you expect to die for them and make them hate you, it seems too illogical for me.
I saw a lot of this theory in Love & redemption and it’s also in ALP. If you want to be a sacrificial lamb, then don’t love at all.
