I see most people didn't like this drama that much. I, on the other hand, liked it quite a lot as a binge watch during the weekend. The story was lackluster and predictable but I loved the relationship aspect of the story with all the characters, loved the acting too.
I pitied the villain at the end, I think it'd have been better to face the consequences by living in prison, it felt like an easy death reminiscing the life he threw away with his girlfriend and kid just for a moment, he should have suffered the memories of his past for the remainder of his life in prison. However, I felt really bad when I kept revisiting the fact that he never got to tell his son that he was his father. It was a twisted cruel date he manufactured with his own hands which made his unable to say that to Taeha but that doesn't make it any less sad , the fact that he died never telling his son he was his dad
I kept delaying watching this movie for I knew that Danjong didn't make it but I rooted for him and geumsong to survive, for tae san to get a post in the court, for the village to prosper. The foreshadowing in the Yam scene made it clear that he wasn't surviving but I held my breath till the very end and couldn't help but cry... I saw the helplessness, the strength the kid who never lived a childhood carried, I hated Sejo but alas! History can't be rewritten, all we can do is honour him and his loyal supporters, condemn the evil of Sejo but acknowledge that he did make the nation stronger hopefully out of guilt of having blood of his kin on his hands. A beautiful story that I'll never forget
The palace is a place where jealousy and resentment is constant so Primordial Gwi Mae exists as this cycle of resentment, revenge and greed for throne will never end. The king wasn't innocent but he did try to save his daughter and her mom. The mom wasn't innocent either but she was a puppet and didn't deserve to disappear, she can never become Saeng Gang's daughter. If the king revealed the truth of crown prince spirit than it'd implicate him and his mom and the country will perish so he chose to punish crown prince himself who lost himself to greed of throne as well. Sawng Gang was innocent so was Gu Cheon who carried the guilt of his mother's death and did all he could to save as many as he can. He felt selfish at first just to avoid becoming an akgwi and hunting innocent souls. Primordial Gwi Mae is probably weakened so Gu Cheon could leave but the Gwi Mae eyes and his promise to give whatever Primordial Gwi Mae wanted has trapped part of his soul in the gwi realm.

Gang uk is probably trapped in a limbo, he's in coma. Minhwan's adoptive grandma is twin of Gang Uk's grandma. The real son of minhwan's family is probably Gang uk and his family had something to do with yatch accident as he had that mysterious green necklace she had on when she came back to life so Yeori's friend haunted her fiance like that to cancel her wedding. Her parents were killed by the adoptive aunt who's the art gallery director who's plotting Yeori's downfall by planting forgery art works as a means of slush fund which fills her purse but the blame will be put on Yeori. Minhwan will help find the truth of Hari's mom but when he'll realise truth of gang uk and their love he'll turn evil and decide to support hari
Just watched ep 3 and I have to say I love this office romance. The parallel of asking for marriage was so perfect, it's the last effort believing that marriage would make things work out for Jiyoon, Noah and Gaeul. Last ditch effort to get clarity of the relationship which ultimately fails for all the 3of them. I pity Gaeul but it goes to show how important communication is, if you love someone let them know your worries and hardships too not just the bright side. The way he left her multiple times hoping to earn his keep and be' perfect' for her but that perfect never came as Jiyoon had already grown used to his antics by then. On the contrary, ML never gives up on his goals and tries to understand himself and his surroundings despite his personality. He is unapologetically himself, secure in believing his skills, supports his talented subordinates, respects people who are good in their job like equals. Perfect boss for sure.
Such a powerful story. An ' ordinary orphan not worth writing about' teaches storytelling and exposes the darkness hideen beneath the mask of the great professor.
Rewatched it for the 3/4th time. I still feel pity for Wang So. The villian is the throne, everyone who sat on the throne changed, they thought they are doing it to save the ones they love but somewhere along the way they lost that purpose and did all that they could for their own selves
Finally watched it and this has to be my top 2 alongside The First Jasmine. Such a beautiful story. Unpopular opinion but The only villain is the insecure king, he was the one who started the incessant tragedies. I loved the ending scene but I wanted Wei Xuan's story to be added too, he died a vain death never getting real love and attention. The story is the Jinzhou massacre never happened shows how the throne and the insecurity of kings is a never ending cycle where Chengde too grew suspicious of Qi Min. Qi Min promised he'd never love Qianqian and even in alternate reality, his heart knows it. Some bonds are dated but never meant to be but in my land of delusion they did fall in love and he learnt to love her right this time 😭😭
Basically In Guk is playing the same role that he played in boyfriend on demand. He was definitely a senior who taught her work when the seniors were only dumping thier load and when she was full of passion, he must have liked her since back then. I think the design team lead only looks sweet from outside maybe her team has it worse. I think they weren't married but he was her ex boyfriend with whom she broke up her marriage plans calling him a workaholic. I just wish they are broken up for a long time as if it was recent I'll doubt his proposal for fl. The ex bf must have been in an accident and in coma for all these years so the msg was delivered only now, if they stray from the webtoon that is
I hope Qin Cang survives and I love that we get to see step siblings still care for each other despite their circumstances and 'hate' for each other. Muyang's psycho son I'll forgive him.ifnhe saves Cang.
