Honestly it Doesn't get any better and the new guy some how keeps getting more annoying
See what you mean. They lost all the real humanity of S1 where one could identify with the characters as normal people despite their supernatural abilities. Even closed up the noodle shop, which I miss.
On episode 3 & decided this must be an intentional spoof of the original series. Looking at how Mo-Tak camps up his vanity, the new counter's ridiculous background, clothing & character & the comic-book nature of the 3villians - what else? Don't take it seriously and it might be fun...
It's lightweight, fun & funny. Well-made entertainment with all the usual xanxia tropes - perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Obviously needs a sequel, or several. Any idea when it will be released?
Well constructed story with interesting use of Di Renjie as 'hook' while focusing on other 2 main characters. FL especially engaging. Neat sets & design without being OTT. Deserves a sequel or several. Well worth watching.
The subtitles are all over the place, but it's better than nothing, I guess...
Would need to know a little Mandarin to make head or tail out of the English subs on Youtube. I was completely baffled, especially when White text on a light background made some words invisible. A pity, was looking forward to some light entertainment... AI seems less intelligent than it pretends to be.
Strange to watch a movie after having done dramas for so long, but it has the advantage that the action moves faster, requiring a much tighter storyline. Difficult to entirely warm to the characters though & I would prefer a follow-up or two with the same actors, developing their characters a little. The usual mix of mystery, politics & romance, in that order, ok for an evening's entertainment at 1,5 speed ;)
Probably because a conserto is a classical (associated with the word "old") show. And the main character when…
A concerto is a classical music piece that showcases a specific instrument with a full backing orchestra. So in this case, maybe the main character represents the featured instrument.
