Mushroom hallucinations feels like it can be a trope uniquely for Cdramas, compared to the common drunk trope which every country has, since China's Yunnan is famous for loving to eat poisonous mushrooms. Like the people there love eating these mushrooms which are safe to eat if properly cooked, if not properly cooked they will get poisoned and hallucinate and have to be rushed to hospital.

During my middle school days, my crush accidentally touched my hands while he's trying to climb over the railings and my hands happened to be on the railings. It gave me flutters for the whole day even though there wasn't anything else after that.

Usually it's because the person doesn't like their surname or wants to distance themselves from the surname. For example, Su Mingyu in All Is Well also got people to call her "Ming zong" instead of "Su zong" because of her family issues.

It somehow feels appropriate for Chinese dramas too, given that China has Yunnan which is famous for the poisonous mushrooms, many people in Yunnan get hallucinations after eating poisonous mushrooms which weren't properly cooked.

Same, I'm loving the drama's aesthetics and the chemistry between Chen Xingxu and Lu Yuxiao. My heart flutters whenever they look at each other.

Just done with episode 8. Man, this drama really knows how to do cliffhangers. Totally regret started watching this early, now I have to endure waiting for future episodes. I love the chemistry between the leads!

This is why platforms shouldn't take so long to produce the second season of a very successful drama.

It works for me too. To me, the ending stayed true to their characters and is also somewhat realistic. Jae Oh sacrificing his life for Ah Jin and feeling fulfilled, Jun Seo trying to drag Ah Jin into hell with him and failing to do so, Do Hyeok getting away scot-free because he's a chaebol, while Queen Ah Jin rising from the ruins and climbing her way up again.

But it's a matter of time for him to find Ah Jin using his connections. Unless she stays in the mountains for the rest of her life or stow away on a ship.

Guess the production crew's being realistic by letting chaebol Moon Do Hyeok get away scot-free.

Reminds me of Lee Jae Gyeong in My Love From The Star.

My interpretation is that he thought he understands A Jin the most, but it turns out he isn't. He thought A Jin killed the grandma but she didn't. Which is why he went mad and laughed maniacally.

He laughed because he didn't believe enough in A Jin while Jae O wholeheartedly believed her. Turns out he was wrong and A Jin didn't kill the grandma. He went mad because this shows that he isn't the one who understand A Jin the most even though he previously thought he is.

Ugh...think there's something wrong with me. I love seeing the male leads simp and pine for A Jin.
