This is just my personal opinion. The point of the attack is to kill Sima Jin because Jing he soldier is weak. Otherwise, the attack in the fort doesn't fulfill the goal.

How can he defend his family and friends ? They are enemies in the first place. Personal feeling doesn't have place in war. People should not become soldier if they cannot cast aside their personal feelings. Soldiers was being demanded to give their all for the country. Even Sima Jin (WY father) said it himself to CY that he should not have mercy toward his enemies.

I agree. I am not excusing CY either. CY action is normal. He is spy. What do people expect him to do ?! War is cruel in the first place. All of these people are soldiers. They know they can always die at any moment. In a sense I respect general Cao. He doesn't have personal vendetta against CY because he knows this is what soldier do. People who live by sword will die by sword. There is a saying war doesn't determine who is right and wrong, but who live.

Sorry for the wrong information. I just try to read the novel again. WZ is pregnant but she forget who makes her pregnant. I am not sure what happen with the pregnancy, She lose her memories after trying to break Nirvana. Poor WZ, his new husband in heaven is coward and pervert (It is not Yan Luo).
