I think your guess is correct. Remember when SS came to live with MI? When "KS's delusional gf" heard about SS moving in, she was grumbling and saying something about him being too stressful. That indicates some sort of familiarity between them. Also, SS talks about her in way that indicates he has known her for a long time. So, it does make sense that she is his wife's friend.

You definitely are making sense, Sher. Your analysis is one way of looking at the cause of KS' timidity and inexplicable actions.

I really wonder why the character KS is being written this way? Do the writers think that he should be behaving this way toward HR because he is a "Nice Guy"? Because that makes absolutely no sense to me.

If his actions (or inaction in this case) make him put the feelings of a woman who has a crush on him over his daughter (who is a minor), then that is not a behavior I would categorize as "nice". But that's just me.

Agreed. KS is partly to blame for the way things have turned out.

Yes, HR is a deluded creep and she is solely responsible for her behavior. However, KS is helping feed her delusion. His inaction is partly to blame for the effect this situation is having on JD. He is not putting JD first. He is putting HR feelings first. That is a failure on his part.

Going forward, I have decided that I'm going to be referring to HR is "KS's delusional GF". Since he has refused to clearly tell her that there is no "we" between them and he keeps giving her mixed signals, that's what she is - his "delusional gf"

So, until he decides to standup for himself and speak up, I will refer to the both of them as "KS & his delusional GF" 😒

Re: The creepy menace that is HR - KS needs to end his passive mixed-signal attitude towards HR. TBH his whole "woe is me & my lowly self" personality in general is becoming tiresome. He needs to gradually start standing up to people (....starting with his in-laws.). In his relationship with others, he needs to start making choices that put JD and himself first.

When he decided to foolishly go to HR house and start peeling fruit, he was NOT putting JD and himself first. When he went HR's house and decided to embark on a "fruit-peeling mission", he was putting HR first. And I will never forget he did that.

For me that singular stupid act made me rank him lower than I used to. I will always remember he did that. I will always remember how that affected his daughter.

You can see the "fruit-peeling" saga really got to me. 😂

Sorry for my rant. I just hate what they have done to the character of KS.

When I read Sher's summary and your summary, I decided I am skipping today. I will binge this series later.

I will keep reading the great daily summaries you and Sher are generous enough to post (thank you for that). However I cannot subject my self to a series were the ML and FL are making stupid decisions and behaving foolishly.

I mean why in the world would KS go to HR's house and start peeling fruit? What level of stupidity is that? First he "pretends" not to notice she likes him (and yes, I am going with "he pretends") even though it was VERY obvious she liked him and every one around him and their mama warned him. But he still kept denying it. AND then when the creepy woman finally confesses to him, he says, "no" BUT still goes to her place? What is he? A fool? He might as well just go ahead and tell us he is really interested. Because this level foolishness is just inexplicable.

Yeah...if he going to be playing this "Mr Nice Guy" with HR and giving her mixed signals, then I have no interest to see that. Maybe by Episode 96 he will muster up the courage to finally be firm and keep away from her.

I am sorry for my rant. But I am really pissed. I don't even want to get into MR. She is almost (almost) becoming a lost cause. Our 2 leads are just exhausting. 😭😭😭

I hate the HR character. That "desperate, clingy, must-have-him-at-all-cost" female trope in Kdramas is the worst. I hate that trope.

True...however, I side-eye him for ignoring all the warnings those around him gave him about that creepy woman. 😒

KS in Mr Nice Guy mode with HR? Yeah...miss me with that. I do not want to see that.🙄
