Overall, I like the story, plot, characters were extremely well done BUT the last episode was so frustrating and unnecessary. They send Duke Su to war, great, but then the last five minutes they just decide to kill off both bodyguards for no real reason and then it is HEAVILY implied that Duke Su also dies. Yes, it's very dramatic and cinematic but we've already had this and the series felt like it was already to a place where you could just have them return after triumphing over the enemy. Instead, they have him taking on an entire army and then the shot fades away to a dreamy shot of her running through their house and then standing by their tree, waiting for him. It's as if she is dreaming and he can only return in her dreams because he's dead. I just don't understand the ABSOLUTE ALLERGY THAT ASIAN DRAMAS HAVE WITH A HAPPY ENDING? Like, is that bad for you? I just don't get it. Fantastic 39 episodes but skip the last one if you want to feel like you didn't waste your time.
