Pretty but lacks in story/plot & main characters are flat=awkward & unsatisfying
Great:-The gardens/flowers are beautiful
-Costumers/hair/makeup are fantastic (though stolen which is a shame)
-Supporting characters are very relatable and real, I am more interested in them overall
-Setting/stage is very beautiful with wonderful details
-The humorous scenes are really funny and the best part of the story
Ok:
-Main characters are flat but acceptable, some instances it feels like they were told to act a certain way despite what a 'real' person would do in the same plot/situation. I'm giving the main actors the benefit of the doubt on this
-Main plot is boring and reused - woman stuck in loveless marriage 'escapes' and tries to start a new life which comes with stereotypes and drama
Bad:
-Zero rewatch value
-Music is EXTREMELY forgettable and boring
-WTF WAS THAT ENDING? WAS THAT EVEN AN ENDING? This made it seem entirely pointless in watching at all
-What happened to the X husband and his story line? NO CLUE! Never resolved.
Overall: Skip it and watch Blossom in Adversity if you want a story about a woman/group of women fighting to survive, succeed and life their own lives

Great overall but the choice of ending leaves me disappointed - SKIP THE LAST EPISODE!
Overall, I like the story, plot, characters were extremely well done BUT the last episode was so frustrating and unnecessary. They send Duke Su to war, great, but then the last five minutes they just decide to kill off both bodyguards for no real reason and then it is HEAVILY implied that Duke Su also dies. Yes, it's very dramatic and cinematic but we've already had this and the series felt like it was already to a place where you could just have them return after triumphing over the enemy. Instead, they have him taking on an entire army and then the shot fades away to a dreamy shot of her running through their house and then standing by their tree, waiting for him. It's as if she is dreaming and he can only return in her dreams because he's dead. I just don't understand the ABSOLUTE ALLERGY THAT ASIAN DRAMAS HAVE WITH A HAPPY ENDING? Like, is that bad for you? I just don't get it. Fantastic 39 episodes but skip the last one if you want to feel like you didn't waste your time. Was this review helpful to you?

Saturation on 100% but terrible plots, writing and acting = waste of time
I had low expectations for this and I mainly watched for the female lead. I like the colors, some sets, theme song and some outfits but the terrible writing and nonsense plots (especially the side plots) are horrendous and absolutely ruin anything worth saving in this. The acting is meh (though this is partially because of the bad writing) and some of the sets and outfits look cheap close up and the CG is painful. I'm going to finish this but I have zero hope this gets better which is sad.Was this review helpful to you?

Poorly executed ridiculous Pride and Prejudice
I couldn't make it through the first episode because the characters were so poorly done and shallow, it was revolting. There's the smart sister, the childish sister, the quiet one with the good memory and zero lines, the one that takes care of everyone and the married off one that is (by traditional standards) too willful. There's a scene where the married one gets scolded by her brother-in-law for not being tolerant of her husband cheating on her. Then two of the men decide to peek on the sisters by dressing like maids in the worst getup imaginable. Such a shame cause I like a bunch of the actors in this. Just go watch Pride and Prejudice instead because it's the same concept. Was this review helpful to you?

The plot was boring and the Father ANNOYED ME SO BAD, I MUTED!
I get that some dramas you have to suffer for the first couple episodes but this was too much suffering for something that seems mediocre. You can tell where the plot is going with the pretty obvious girl with mysterious origins awaking an evil creature and then you throw her into a world she doesn't know with a silent War God just awoken trying to get his bearings and figure out what's she's about because again, she freed the monster and him so OOOOOOO intrigue! BORING! They'll probably fall in love but face terrible dangers together or some generic thing. I would have kept going even despite this but every time the father of the main character came on, I muted it. The most shrill annoying sound! I get that's the character but no thanks. Was this review helpful to you?
