In episode 9, RY's Uncle is preparing for the wedding, he tells JL's dad that even if JL died she will be Rong family's ghost, he is being very mean. JL's dad doesn't want JL to marry RY anymore, he doesn't want JL to be mistreated in the Rong family. JL's dad asks the emperor to send his family to a border town so they can protect the capital. JL doesn't want to leave but JL's dad said RY gave him a premonition, he and her brother will die in war. So JL decides to leave to prevent war, protect Jia Lin and RY. JL sneaks out to see RY and thinks they may never meet again. The He family reunite with JL's second brother and wife. Four yrs pass, JL has made many accomplishments. She has also continued to look for a cure for RY with no luck even with the help of her senior brother.

The new emperor *the little prince became the new emperor*asks the He family to come back to the capital to receive a promotion, JL will also be rewarded. They set off back to the capital, the He family are still worried about RY and JL's marriage but think they can get out of it now that JL is being rewarded. JL is not happy when they talk about cancelling the marriage.

This episode made me feel very sad for RY, he didn't see JL for four yrs. 😭

The leads are very sweet together and will definitely get sweeter. Rong Yu already loves Jiu Ling very much. But Jiu Ling thinks of him as a friend. In the scene before this when Rong Yu was shelling the peanuts and lining up the shells she said she didn't have the patience for that. When Rong Yu gave her the peanuts, she felt apologetic, she apologised for the things she did and also told him he was a good person. Jui Ling asks Rong Yu if Astrology is boring, Rong Yu tells her its the opposite and he can experience many different lives just by sitting in the observatory and looking at the stars. Jiu Ling asks Rong Yu for a example and Rong Yu says he can tell her about the previous emperor's romantic relationships.

Jui Ling tells Rong Yu she also has a interesting book about relationships which she keeps with her always, and the book seems to be the only one. She says she wants to meet the author of the book. Rong Yu said if she really wants to meet him then he will come out. What Jiu Ling doesn't know is that Rong Yu wrote the book that she loves 😂. Jiu Ling already loves many aspects of Rong Yu's character, like his kindness when he gave out the buns to the people and Rong Yu is not as boring as Jiu Long thinks. I think Jiu Ling will slowly find out that they are alot more compatible than she thinks.

I think most people here will be watching on Viki because they have much better subtitles compared to Mango TV, hopefully they will add more positive comments soon. I am unfortunately stuck with Mango TV since I can't access Viki where I am.

Poor Rong Yu in episode 6, he got poisoned, stabbed by a arrow and got his heart broken.

I always find Song Yiren super endearing and lovable in all her roles and it has been a long time since I have been so happy and giddy watching a drama. I like Song Yiren's look it's adorable and refreshing. 💕 💕 😘

In episode 9 preview, we see RY's Uncle still trying to separate them. Jiu Ling kisses Rong Yu's forehead, does she love him now? Has she found her happiness? Jiu Ling is going somewhere, she believes this maybe the last time that she can see Rong Yu.

In episode 10 preview it looks like Rong Yu may join Jiu Ling in her travels?
I can't wait for episode 9-10 tonight.

I love Song Yiren, she is so cute and her comedic and serious acting are both excellent 👍

Rong Yu is still looking out for her even when he is silly, he makes sure she eats first. Senior brother should get a refund for the love forgetting medicine because it didn't work at all 😂

In episode 6 as well I felt Rong Yu's heartbreak, he has very expressive eyes and he's is also very cute when he becomes silly.

Yes this is what I thought too. RY's Uncle knows that the one who poisoned Rong Yu was Jiu Ling and he wants Jiu Ling to suffer by being married to a comatose person who might die soon. When Jiu Ling found out Rong Yu was in a coma and poisoned she realised it might be the love forgetting potion she gave RY and started saying suspicious things, the doctor overheard and told RY's Uncle and he found out from that.

You are correct it is Jiu Ling I only noticed now, thanks for the link. I agree she was sent to a mountain when she was a child and she only had her master and senior brother. So she has not changed her style yet from when she was a child.

This is my favourite scene in episode 6, I didn’t think it would be so long. JL and RY just finished having fun at the festival. RY was hit by a stray yoyo thing at the festival.
JL: Does it hurt?
JL: Take it.
RY: Thank you.
JL: *hands over bottle* This is our exclusive injury medicine.
RY: *stares at bottle with a little smile*
RY: Thank you. I have troubled you.
JL: *on swing, swinging in frustration* It’s not about being troublesome or not, that’s not the problem. A big guy like you, its like you are made of tofu. One knock and you break. You are even more fragile than us girls. Its okay that you are fragile, but do you not know how to dodge. Such a big thing *yoyo thing at the festival that hit RY* flying towards you, did you not see it? You do not even know to dodge.
RY: In the future I will dodge.
JL: In the future, what use will it be in the future.
JL:*Jumps off swing* You are still smiling, every time I am so angry that I want to hit someone, you smile. You know how to make people angry.
RY: You will smile when you are happy.
RY: As the little master of the Astrology sect, I need to meet people with a smile to comfort people’s hearts *RY smiles to prevent people from being anxious when meeting him for divination* or to solve troubles. Its not often that I smile for myself. Unlike you, who does what they want, cry when its hard, smile when happy, if you suffer grievances, you get them back. If you want something you go achieve it yourself.
RY: Seeing you as you are now it makes me feel like I am living within a firework. *I think RY thinks JL is bright and sparkles like a firework*The firework is fleeting.
RY: Tonight, I am very happy, truly happy. Do you remember the story I just told you?
JL: The one about the previous emperor? *The story was about the previous emperors love life, he was in a kind of love triangle, he chose to marry a woman he didn't loveas his empress, on the advice of the Astrology sect’s divination, for the good of the country, he abandoned his lover who then had a tragic fate, the lover became a concubine I think, you know what happens in harem stories. *
RY: Yes. You said he did not take responsibility, in my view, that is not true, he is Jia Lin's emperor, he married an empress for Jia Lin. The one thing he did do wrong was when he was 16 yrs old, when he first saw that person, he should have learned to take a step back and learned to let go, but he cared about nothing else and held on tightly to her, in this way *if the emperor had let go*that person would have remained an innocent and simple little lady for ever. She would have lived a different and happy life.
JL: Do you mean…. *JL realises that RY is letting go of her and cancelling their engagement*
RY: One heartbroken person *referring to the story but really referring to himself* is better than two people being unhappy.
RY: Thank you JL for accompanying me, its time for us to say goodbye.
JL: *mutters to herself* If I knew earlier, I would not have given it to you. *JL put the love forgetting potion into RYs wine earlier*

RY: Let her go, *pulls out the arrow that hit his shoulder*, you guys want my life, I will give you, my life. *proceeds to stab himself in the heart with the arrow he just pulled out*
JL: *uses the whip to hold the arrow to prevent RY from stabbing himself with it* Why did you decide yourself, to give them your life.
BG: Go die. *stabs JL in the stomach*
RY: HJL!
JL brother: You bunch of animals I will kill you.
RY: *holding the unconscious JL* Did I divine the wrong destiny? Did I do something wrong? Or I could not escape being an unlucky star, even if I let go, the person I love, will still leave *as in death *me. *RY spits up blood*

I wish I could access Viki where I am now but I don't use VPN, they have the best subs. I am watching on Mango TV, my Chinese is okay and I can tell how confusing the English subs are on there. Which episode have Viki translated to?

Her hair looks like Sailor moon or Dark Lady it's cute 🥰

I forget which episode but Jui Ling's elder brother also comments on her childish style and until when will she wear her hair this way. I think Jui Ling's style shows she hasn't grown up yet.

My Chinese is okay so I can see that the English subs are quite bad even for very simple stuff.
