Totally recommend if you want a romcom that will keep you smiling the whole way through. The leads have fantastic chemistry, and the misunderstandings that make a a typical lakorn are cleared up quickly and with sense - no noble idiocy to be seen here. A fun watch.

Just started a rewatch and finished episode 2. I’m reminded of just how incredibly likeable these main characters are, and once again blown away by the soundtrack.

Have to agree with limegreensoda on this one.We all knew from the get go that the relationship wasn't a lasting one. They gave us all the clues. We just decided to ignore them as much as we could to wish for that happy ever after that wasn't going to happen.I think the trouble was this. They made us fall in love with both the characters individually and together before abruptly forcing their separation. Seeing all the theories spinning around while this was airing I'm pretty sure we all thought the only way these two would NOT end up together was if the ML died.So it was both a moment of elation that he, you know, didn't die, but also absolute dejection that even these two didn't make it work. Honestly, after all that build up their characters just really don't seem the type to give up on something they cherish so easily.
Came back to see the comment section has finally lit up. After the first two episodes, I was worried people were missing out on what has started off as a really promising drama!
So... while I anxiously wait yet another week... who do we reckon is dead? Murder? Suicide? An accident? Personally, I'm in denial, and just praying it's not hyun seo

If you're in the mood for something a little more dark and twisted, this is a guaranteed must-watch. If you're in the mood for a romcom, add it to your watch later list, and sometime in the future, join the bandwagon when you actually feel up to it. Either way, I'd say that the ratings are a reflection of a stellar cast and plot. It just comes down to whether it's a story you feel up to watching.
So episode 1 was great. Episode 2 was... well... averagely boring. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a chance, yet episode 3 honestly went nowhere. Three hours of television and I cant say I'm invested in any of these characters or their lives. In all honesty, I dozed off partway through. If it wasn't for Kim Go Eun, and the extra few hours I have in quarantine, I'd honestly just drop this right now. As it is, I'll give it one last chance to redeem itself. Maybe it's because I'm watching, and seriously loving, 'the world of the married'. The pace of that show is so incredibly fast and downright captivating. 'The king' on the other hand, despite all its pretty cinematography, and star studded cast, has yet to take the plot anywhere. Simply put, it falls short of every expectation I have for a good start to a drama.

Oh wow, hats off to you! Every episode has left me reeling, and I agree, the pace is insane! I think I've become too used to all the slow, drawn-out dramas, so this was a real shock. And episode 6 was definitely on a different level. These actors are so good!

So glad you're giving it a go! It's definitely going to be a drama I am going to hate watching while airing, because the suspense is killing me. But at the same time, I think I need the break between episodes to preserve my sanity.
Six episodes in this story is constantly hitting me from all angles. I should really stop expecting things to play out a certain way, because it's clear the screenwriter and director have got many more twists up their sleeves.
Honestly though, if you're on the fence - this drama is getting such high ratings for a reason. Give it a go!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of this drama - I practically raced through the first episodes. But now I'm at episode 14 and am really struggling to keep going. This female lead, whilst initially somewhat tolerable, has increasingly become the most annoying, frustrating character. She cried a lot in the beginning, sure, but where is the character development??? I could ignore a lot of her bad traits initially, but it's getting to a point where I just want to wipe out her character and the romance aspect of this drama so I can actually get on with the fun stuff.
Something I never knew I needed, but will probably now want to know - thank you!
Not technically stats related, but would really love to be able to order my 'completed drama' list by my personal 'finished watching' dates. Call it a weird sense of curiosity to figure out how my patterns and tastes have changed over time XD
