Can only watch it on YouTube because it is an oooold kdrama.

It is a really captivating & fast-paced family kdrama. OST 👍👍👍 sang by the ML who was in a teen idol pop group. But he was in his early 30s at the time of filming.

You should google Wikipedia for the ratings and
your jaw will drop. It is more accurate than MDL rating.

As I watched Ji Yeon shouting and scolding Seung Don for not helping her find the lost money, I wondered to myself, why he didn't divorce her years ago. Hateful, spoilt woman constantly throwing tantrums at her age. 😠

Ah! Then the conversation between Gang Ju & Seung Don explained it all. When one spouse has more power, the other one will surely suffer endlessly.
Nevertheless, the relationship between stepfather & stepson is very heartwarming and honest and the stepson is actually very blessed as he has a good father figure to love and look up to. 👨👦

The scene at the hospital when the eye bandages were removed....moved me to tears. This young woman has not seen and only heard the voices of her family members for at least a decade. Da Rim's antics in the hospital room like staring in amazement at the wall clock and talking to a fly was funny and also emotional to me. ☺️

Oh how I wish they air at least 4 episodes per week. 😆😆😆

Mi Hwa told Jeong Suk that she wanted to protect her family. I take it to mean that her husband cannot find out about her pregnancy with Seong Su. But I have a feeling that her husband, In Tae, has already known that he is infertile and he will know of her infidelity if she told him she was pregnant. He will then divorce her and she will go with Seong Su which means divorce for Jeong Suk.

I think it will be a win-win situation for Jeong Suk to be rid of her unfaithful and useless Seong Su.

This story mirrors the real life case of a man who was convicted of rape and murder of several women in Hwaseong. South Korea. The murders occurred from the 1980s to 1990s. Although there was no evidence to pin this guy, the police was under pressure to find the killer, so they assaulted him and deprived him of sleep and got a confession from him. At 22 years old, he was jailed for 20 years in 1989. In 2019, the police found the real killer...by chance.

It may or may not be the only case where an innocent person was convicted and jailed for decades. It is heart-wrenching indeed.

The preview showed the cheater Mi Hwa telling Jeong Suk that she wanted to protect her family. She is nothing but a trash-spewing bxxxh. After breaking up Jeong Suk's family, she has the nerve to say that she wants to protect her family.🤚🤚

Any idea why they decided to shorten the 50-episode kdramas to 36-episode ones?

I have always loved 50-episode family kdramas so I am saddened by the change in their format. 😕

In real life, Bong Hee could have already passed on years ago due to so much stress in her pitiful life - visually disabled daughter, caring of elderly parents- in-laws and educating , feeding and clothing of 3 young children.

I will be very heartbroken if she died of a heart attack or an incurable illness.

Just watched episode 1 and I have already found this drama so captivating with its stellar cast of award-winning actresses like Kim So Yeon and Kim Sung Young.

Jeong Suk's husband fought with his boss and lost his job. Instead of looking hard for a job, he slept with his wife's friend while staying with them. Well done! In a way, I am glad now Jeong Suk has a damn good reason to leave this good-for-nothing husband....if she has the courage to do it. It is sad as it is against their culture even in 1992.

The money in GangJu's mum's safe was $10 million. Gang Ju told his stepfather that they should donate $13 million with taxes included.

I think this was done in case one day the authorities discovered the unpaid taxes on $10 million. It was not properly explained.

I hope Bong Hee will not be implicated in any way or form because her life is already soooo hard and pathetic. But you could be right because there must be a reason for the 1st bag of $3 million to be destroyed and for the Lees to receive $7 million just like that.

We know that there will always be a payback to take money which does not belong to us.

I cringe of what the payback for the Lees will be. 😣
