One of my favorite novels got adapted into a drama, and now that it's finished, I feel so empty. The casting was perfect, like I couldn't imagine anyone else as Xiao Jue and He Yan. The chemistry between the cast was so good, and the battle scenes were satisfying. But the plot twist in the last few episodes was kinda unnecessary. They rushed the ending too. Also, they changed the plot a little bit as they removed He Yan's rebirth, new family, and marriage in her previous life. The revenge in the novel had another level of satisfaction. Still, they have adapted it quite well while changing the plot.

I love the cast. The ML and FL are the perfect cast here, both of them are not overshadowing each other.

I have read the novel several times, Now that I think Tan Jianci can be fit as the male lead , it's just my own opinion. For the female lead I would prefer Lu yu xiao or tian xiwei .

I was going to start it today, but saw that the rating dropped. Is there anything wrong with the plot?

Started this drama with zero expectation, then couldn't stop watching and finished all the episodes within two days. I don't remember when was the last time I watched a drama with so much concentration and without skipping. Chinese historical dramas are getting better day by day. Now I am searching for dramas with similar plots .

I really like xu kai as an actor,I've watched almost all of the dramas he has starred in. But as a novel reader I think xu kai looks a bit young and lacks the mature look than Han Ting. I have no doubt on him as an actor but I think Han Ting should be someone who is more aged and mature looking🙂

The character development of the princess yang ying really amazed me in the whole drama. She went from being ignorant and coward to someone who doesn't even blink her eyes to sacrifice her happiness for the nation, she became a heroine.

exactly, at first I was a bit skeptical. But now he is portraying the gentleness so well, I am satisfied.

I have read the novel almost 4 times, now it is having a drama adoption and I have got to know this just today! But 33 eps is a bit too long for this drama , I think they might have added some twist or something to get this so long.

female lead is badass, that's why I am loving it so far.

I stopped watching her reviews, because whenever I see any good dramas or any actor with good acting skills, she always happens to ruin it for me. She is always catching faults with anything. If she is that good, why doesn't she just be a director or something.

Even after having kids with Ninger, Xie Wei is still jealous of Zhang Zhe. The way his own son was provoking him using ZZ is so hilarious :")
The ending given me so much sweetness for HE and a little bitterness that my journey with SOKP has come to an end.

The angles, they almost ruined the 'scene' because of weird angles. I hope the director learns physics well to capture good angles :)

I think they can make the shots look more beautiful without using these blinding lights. they are making the leads moment unattractive by using those.

Zhang Zhe is too righteous that I was feeling a bit annoyed during his scenes in today's episode. He is too impartial to notice what's good for the Yan family rn and what not. What surprised me is his teacher Gu also couldn't understand XW's intention and trying to expose him.

Xue shu's eyebrows keep getting on my nerve

Luckily they are giving us two episodes tomorrow. After watching today's episodes my patience has become as thin as that Xue Shu's eyebrows.

To be honest I just want to see Xuening slap that Xue ye back. If not at least someone(ZZ or XW) should slap him for me so that I can have a good sleep tonight.
