I absolutely love how they handled the LGBTQ+ storyline from the mother and the daughter. "Why are you hiding? You didn't do anything wrong." I LOVED THAT LINE, I wished my parents said something like that. Jeon Doyeon is fantastic in this movie, love her. Might watch more of her films.
Loved this movie from start to finish. The movie's core is more about the dynamic between Bok Soon and her daughter who is learning about her sexuality while her mother struggles with her toxic workplace. The coming out scene felt so real, I come from an Asian Household and when I came out, it played exactly like that in the movie. The slow mo fight scenes, the twists and turns and the masterclass acting performance of Jeon Do Yeon made this movie worthwhile.
I liked the first two episodes, the story is nothing new but it keeps you hooked in and the tension between the two leads is great. I know this is going to be quite angsty.
Even though, I do not think this would be GL. Han So Hee somewhat teased us that she wanted to be in a LGBT film/show. On the other hand, excited for this show, Song Hye Kyo (Glory) and Han So Hee (My Name) are both good actresses and the synopsis above seems intriguing.
SONG HYE KYO!! Now that's what you call an award winning performance, especially in EPISODE 12 AND EPISODE 13. I hope she gets nominated on this year's baeksang.
The dynamic between these two characters as love interests is so interesting to watch, that's why I absolutely love the first one. Hoping I would love this sequel too. <3
