Well I am charmed! This has such an older kdrama feel, be it the plot, directing and even the soundtrack, it gave me such nostalgia and whimsy. The actors did such a good job with these larger than life characters and situations too. It was very fun to learn more about korean mithology and folklore in this way as well. I hope there is a second season!
They are just two cuties being adorable together ughh SO SWEET😭 And I love how Big looks so masculine but his character is just a kind softie to everyone and not just the person he likes. It's actually so refreshing to see masculinity represented in this way.
amazing show! I loved the story, the cinematography, the characters, the mistery..... But my favourite part was how freaking great the women were written and their place in the story, it's amazing to see how feminist a historical chinese drama can truly be. Everything was very realized and tasteful! what a gem!
This was adorable! For a drama this short and seemingly low in budget, I am very impressed by the quality! Also the chemistry was lovely, the actors did such a good job! what an unexpected gem this was, a wonderful cozy watch
This was fluffy and light! A quick cute one to watch. There is a discrepancy in acting skills between kangmin and the other three main cast members but I think he gets better as he goes, especially in the last two eps. The second couple shines for me though, I wish their story had more time to develop, their acting and chemistry was very good, you can see the experience and maturity. I really liked the chemistry between Kevin and Bon as relatives too. This drama had potential to be even better with more eps for story development and mainly stronger writing, but it is fine as it is as well.
i really loved how grounded every character was played and how everyone had such realized lives! This drama was refreshing and charming. Also, it was great to see an example of a healthy working space with kind and proactive teammates. It was sooo healing to watch actually! The romance was very slow and earnest, which was fitting for the characters and the environment as well. I would recommend for a cozy low angst watch!
it was sweet and decent but there was one thing that bothered me... Do these writers not know bi and pan people exist? Some conversations by the end were a bit erasure-y
This is a character driven, slice of life series, showing vignettes of friendship and fluffy romance. This is…
exactly! I don't agree with the argument that it seems like random scenes being put together, this is just a slice of life series! it's slow tender and very light. I highly recommend!
i just watched the beginning and couldn't get through the tone change. It's so slapsticky and completely different from the original. Jom would never react like that seeing the love of his life again!! They would have just cried in each others arms or something!! What a let down😭
I was not expecting to like this drama so much! The plot is over the top, yes, and there are silly moments but even most of those are so enjoyable and make sense in the world of the drama. What shined for me were the emotional moments, they were very grounded and well written, even the struggles of a deaf person in a world not adapted to them. The main couple moments and the family ones were sooo good.
I would say I even enjoyed the tropiness because it was so heartfelt.
The actors were really good too, in terms of chemistry and expressiveness. I would say Jin Yun was my favourite, his earnestness as Shao Peng was so believable and lovely to watch.
The only plot that really bothered me was that backstory bit between Shao Peng and his best friend. I think they didn't need to make what happened to the best friend so violent for it to matter. But this could also just be my sensitivity towards topics like those. So take it with a grain of salt!
Overall very charming and fun to watch so recommend!
why do you do you not like him? Do you find him pushy or inconsiderate? To me, I know some of his actions are…
I totally see what you mean! He did disrespect those boundaries several times and disregarded other persons feelings too. I guess I just don't assume ill will, maybe also bc his scenes have a playful and unserious vibe to them, I just end up not disliking him. Though it makes for very intriguing character dinamics and fun situations, he does end up hurting people sometimes. Yess let's trust the creators give him some good character development 👌
