I liked it much better after FL came in picture and especially when leads met, the drama got much better

I think fake family plot will be more important than fake couple plot, but I think there's a chance for romace as well, maybe near the end or subtle one. Or even a hint for some romance in the very end/epilogue, like 'our scam was wild, thank you for cooperation, maybe meet again? '

Agree on non incest. For me, FL and SML felt like real siblings with their bickering dynamics, shared home and calling same man a dad. While ML was more like a close friend who she admired a lot.

You may be right that he loved her since school, that's why he always empathized they are not a real family, probably it was his way to leave some room for a romance.
