A bromance is a close but non-sexual relationship between two or more men. It is an exceptionally tight, affectional, homosocial male bonding relationship exceeding that of usual friendship, and is distinguished by a particularly high level of emotional intimacy.
Bromance conveys a male homosocial relationship that goes much further than traditional homosocial practices. The increased closeness goes beyond being mere friends, to a deep bond that has been characterized as capturing the conceptual edge of "is gay / is not gay".
Thanks for your review. Can you tell me how many chapter of the novel they accomplished by this drama ???
Almost all (113 chapters).. they only excluded some details and the steamy scenes from last chapter and special chapters.. IMO, The Untamed is really faithful to its original work ^^
I'm onto episode 7. Can anyone tell me why the engagement is being called off? I thought that they liked each…
Nope.. it was Jiang Yanli's one-sided love.. they were engaged because their mothers were best friends.. but Jin Zixuan though Jiang Yanli is not equal with him (in terms of status and wealth, Jin Zixuan was considered as a wealthy-heir-every-girl-dreamed-on in the drama).. he belittled JYL in front of WWX and got into fight with WWX.. Jiang Yanli's father, Jiang Fengmian, realized the situation and asked Jin Zixuan's father, Jin Guangshan, to cancel the engagement..
I’m watching this drama for the second time, paying close attention to the details, like every word said, every…
I like Qu Jin Chen Qing the most.. it gives "free and unrestainted" vibes that really suit our Wei Wuxian.. And I love how the lyrics keep on reminiscing about Wei Ying and Lan Zhan's past (∩_∩)
This is my first time watching a drama where all the casts become so popular because of it (including minor characters like Lan Jingyi, Xiao Xingchen, Song Lan, etc).. like every characters have their own charm that make people got very hooked.. ><
The pacing maybe seems slow, but actually it's very stable... I think the best words to describe the plot is "slow…
I think LWJ was actually annoyed with WWX in the beginning.. because their personalities are like water and fire.. but then, when WWX left Gusu, he felt like something was missing, because he was already too used to WWX's mischievousness.. at that time, he realized that he actually want to take that guy back to cloud recesses and lock him up.. hahaha
Up to episode 10 now, I'm thinking of dropping it. "Bromance" is mediocre compared to Guardian, the martial arts…
The pacing maybe seems slow, but actually it's very stable... I think the best words to describe the plot is "slow but steady".. the plot will keep on increasing as the drama goes.. At first, I was like that too.. I want the drama to quickly move to the future instead of the long flashback.. but later, you will find out that the flashback is made to build the characters and story, and can't help but miss the past them..
For the bromance, yeah, maybe it's nothing compared to Guardian because Guardian was originally a BL drama while The Untamed is not.. but I find their tiny hints are sweeter than blantant loving words.. you'll see it as the plot goes.. the way they look at each other and the way they care for each other ><
They have some martial arts scenes, but it's not the focus of the drama.. Mo Dao Zu Shi is originally set on xianxia world (cultivation world) that mainly use magic and spell.. the fight scenes are not that intense, but I really want to give applause to the one doing cinematography.. all the fight scenes are really beautifully shoot and they really look elegant while using the swords..
Hope this can help you understand the drama better ^^

I just don't know how to call their relationship other than bromance ^^"
You're welcome ^^

Lol.. yeah early episodes are like Wei Wuxian's one-sided love.. just wait a bit longer.. it will get sweeter and sweeter ^^
I think the "magic" element will be more obvious after WWX learnt his demonic cultivation (around eps 20 I think.. I kinda forget)
