Remembering that drama where kim young likes his stepdaughter uggh that was disgusting watching this hoping they give Kim ji hoon justice in not sidelining him
I’ve become a big fan of kim ji hoon after death game and flower of evil, his psycho acting in both dramas showcased no one comes close to him other than Kim Jae wook. He’s an all rounder who has natural dusky skin color, a fantastic built , tall height , long hair plus add his damn good acting he’s not like other Korean actors who lets admit have the same hair, same fair skin that just doesn’t look natural. Just see old Korean dramas you will know what I’m talking abt actors used to have a natural beautiful caramel looking skin and now it’s all abt fair skin and even boys seem to wearing lipgloss and blush. Coming to the drama the girl fall flat. She has the same gloomy sad expression through two episodes. They are literally giving the dragon more screen time than Kim ji hoon. What an upset. Almost every drama I’ve seen of Kim ji hoon they give him few minutes of screen time. Such a great actor again is being thrown to the side in this drama. Hopefully they give him more importance and not just show him as a king who’s son is sick. In so many joseon dramas we see the king is weak or sick.
Well directed and well acted drama , I love the calm nature of miyabi and the interactions however there are two major upsets abt this show: First is the guy they chose to play sanpei, HE HAS NO EMOTIONS, NO EXPRESSIONS! He has a boring monotonous voice that just puts you to sleep, he was once engaged to miyabi which we can assume that he was romantically involved with her and if he really cares and wants to treat her and wants her memory to come back how come we see no yearning no eagerness in his behavior? He has no emotions no tears whatsoever that shows us how much he wants her to recover her memory loss?? It’s ridiculous and very unrealistic considering it’s a Japanese drama and these guys don’t joke around when it comes to making realistic dramas. The other is the guy who is so underrated and to me honestly the best Japanese actor from this generation and that is yudai chiba who is being played so dirty, he has very few lines and not much of an important role, maybe it’s bc he doesn’t like to be in the limelight or cause he doesn’t have that male lead personality but I wish he could do more male lead roles; for those that have seen him in takane no hana y’all know know what I’m taking about; his range of expressions and roles is so diverse but he’s being underplayed as a supporting role it’s sad
I don’t know how I completed this drama but it was only to see some good acting from ji sung but it left a bad taste in my mouth, I love ji sung and have watched most of his shows and the last he was excellent in is defendant , even kill me heal me and secret were fabulous but the devil judge was definitely one of the worst shows I’ve seen, first off ji sung’s acting -what happened? So much overreacting I mean where are those raw Soul hitting expressions we saw in defendant or secret? I’ve noticed how tvn spends too much time in making big actors look cool and in that process the acting quality goes down, we also see him wearing make up that wasn’t subtle and I think he did his eyebrows which make him look bad and then the expression sometimes are too creepy like when he says a line while he smiles .. I was like is this the same ji sung I love? Still a fan because he such a unique actor hope he takes a break and comes back in much better show The president character also put me off , so loud , I understand he used to be an actor but still couldn’t stand him The concept of this show was different but oh man slow plot and the same evil obnoxious corrupted characters that we see in almost every serious tone drama
Then we have the super super creepy sun-ah whose voice was so damn creepy and weird that even elijah ends up saying that “she’s weird” Overall nothing unique in this show just evil people vs good people we have seen countless times
Also has stupid police officer/s in this case soo hyun who faces that psycho who’s beating up people without backup and runs to ga on like it’s a fairytale in that scene of the slum virus and ends up getting killed
Also noticed how toxic mydramalist can be I mean you have to agree with the majority of opinions otherwise you’ll have a lot of people getting angry at you which is messed up cause we all should be able to share our opinions without getting scared you’re gonna get attacked
LOVE THIS SHOW, kdrama at its best it’s sad how just bc it aired at a unpopular time it wasn’t a hit when it’s shocking cause there’s more than one kpop group in it plus the maturity and lighthearted moments and the humor make it such a great show no complicated shit going on I love it

Is it a written rule that the ending of a show can’t be that or this? What matters is the main story, the grandfather still hasn’t gotten justice so it’s the directors way of showing that he’s not gonna just go away unless he gets justice

The last best of ji sung was defendant and I noticed how tvn tends to glamorize and make these famous actors like joongi in lawless lawyer and now ji sung in this drama there’s none of those raw emotions and expressions we see in scarlet ryeo or defendant or time bw dog and wolf , it’s more of let’s make the character look cool. this drama has nothing unique till now, I’ve seen an exact Bollywood movie where there’s judge who punishes the evil people (not saying it’s copied) and I bet there are more shows and movies like this which is fine but I hope this gets interesting. Also a flaw I saw is that it’s called devil judge but ji sung is playing both lawyer and judge as he’s showing all the proof he has against the defendant Also noticed how ji sung did his famous wink he’s done in secret, defendant, and now this show hehe
First half of this drama was excellent fast paced and raw expressions from kim seo hyung so real when she gives those subtle smiles and tears in her eyes and the tutor delivers an excellent performance but her character is layed out badly-
first she’s shown as evil and then quickly is shown to be innocent ; seo haesu could’ve been a much better character she keeps telling her evil husband what she plans to do to destroy him so that was super stupid but that scene where she loses her baby is too good the performances were fire, also the plot progresses downward after it starts showing how han ji yong died and loses interest
This drama keeps getting better but it’s ridiculous how it has such a low rating I mean a drama has it all fast pace, nail biting endings to each ep but those that rated it low aren’t satisfied like what the hell
LOVE THIS DRAMA! I’m happy I didn’t trust mydramalist ratings cause they always criticize the best dramas, the fast pace , eerie creepy but fire acting of the tutor just pulls you in, must watch! The strong women cast ensemble is also great! What I love the most is how true the tutor character is, it’s so believable because there are people like that in society who have this creepy hypnotic aura that she has and the actress is excellent who has portrayed the tutor.
HOLY SHIT END OF EP 3 and 4 has shook me what an ending, even the fl’s imitation of the evil lawyer lady was fabulous and the fast pace of this drama with jaw dropping endings makes it a must watch, obviously the rating would go down right now it’s definitely close to a 9 and not a 8.5 but how good does a drama have to be to earn such high rating? Even where there is some quality entertainment some don’t want to appreciate it after just watching 1 ep Brilliant director and some comic scenes make it witty and glued to the screens type of show I was thinking why tacyeon was given such a poor role but ending of ep 4 blew me away - wow tacyeon
Loved the first episode! First time watching song joong ki and his Italian seemed so natural not at all cheesy or fake, story progressed quickly and not in a complicated way so it’s fast pace for an episode that was more than an hour which I’ve seen many dramas fail at For those calling comedy is cringe or that this first ep is boring? Seriously don’t get it why so many people on this site can’t just enjoy a drama for drama’s sake it’s a drama guys we are not critics who are judging for drama award nominations , I get it we all have different preferences in dramas we like but there a way to criticize instead of being so harsh I saw this comment under true beauty calling it a drama for 14 yr olds and hell I’m older than 14 but I enjoyed and laughed in every episode it had a unique 2nd lead and was funny other than the cliched fl but the actress actually didn't act bad But yea This first ep was excellent, perfect mix of mafia and comedy, comedy has its flavors , a comedy I think is funny might not be funny for someone else but please don’t categorize it as cringey or boring just cause you don’t like it

It’s so much better than extraordinary you, there’s no stiff typical rude rich guy that we see in kdramas who’s always giving attitude Both the leads have acted well but the real star is hwang in yeop he’s not only good looking but the comedy and serious acting he delivers makes him stand out from the batch of young actors we have today, he legit looks like lee joongi the way he raises his eye when he gets angry , the eyes and hair Kudos to the director and writer for keeping it fast paced and entertaining , comedy is great I love when seo jun’s friends tease him Lim ju young looks much better with seo jun and suho with soo jin Lim ju young should also stand up for herself , enough of those bullies and she should love herself

I’ve seen many dramas neither am I 14 yrs old so to categorize a group of people who are meant to watch this drama doesn’t make sense , it’s not just eye candy but acting in emotional scenes also involved, if the show was just eye candy then it would only be about romance and not abt losing loved ones
lee joongi is one of my top fav actors, watched almost all his work and scarlet Ryeo and time bw dog and a wolf still give me chills but this drama was very confusing I dropped it at ep 6 after giving it my best I couldn’t understand the relationships and what was happening and why it was happening , really wanted to watch it as he plays this type of role for first time Even if its a thriller one should be able to follow along Sbs has always done joongi justice, this show and even criminal minds and lawless lawyer all on tvn give joongi stories that don’t bring that rawness I’ve seen in his sbs and other channels His acting undoubtedly is always excellent This is an unpopular opinion but I’ve explained so no backlash :)
