I think is a good thing ML with YQ as crown princess heir. Before engagement, her status elevated as princess of great Yan, which is part of royal family of Great Yan.
We know that ML will be with MJH in the end, so her status is benefited as MJH crown princess. If it’s same as before, it’s impossible to become crown princess, let alone empress. Her original status will only place her as concubine, as much as MJH love her. Other royal members will not accept their hierarchy disrupted as well.
So everyone, just let ML with YQ from now. YQ is a bit unlucky in the end. He is searching her for so long, strive hard to bring his love to his side, in the end they are not fated. Wish he find his beloved may be in the next life.

For this drama, we deserve a HE, please..

If it is a dark romance, it must be BE, a HE ending is unacceptable, or else it confirms a stockholm syndrome T^T

This is my concern too. I dont like the trend of red flag male lead at all. The idea of “a true love from red flag male or female” is non existence. Run away if you meet them in real life, LOL.

If you are not a fan from the novel, then I can safely said, the drama is worth watching.
It’s nearly impossible to follow the novel, the male lead is too red flag, irredeemable, by any means. The drama whitewashing the male lead a lot which is the main source of unhappiness by many here.
I haven’t read the novel yet, so I am happy with the current set up. The male and female lead showed maturity and don’t act one dimensional.
What I see is both of them complete each other. The male lead with the royal family background at start showed less compassion toward others (exp: making the FL his own assassin, etc), whereas the Fl although drive by her revenge motive, never forget humanity.
The male lead learn that from the FL, so his behavior changes to the better without he even realize. Why the FL can influence the male lead, partly due to the same revenge motive carrying by both of them.
Hence, the male lead becomes a green forest rather than a sea of red fire. That’s my take from the drama.

Since the beginning, the emperor doesn’t care MJH at all. I don’t forget how he choose to turn a blind eye about the cause of MJF died on the hunting ground and reason himself that CP is a good candidate to rule his country. Seriously, emperor?
So it doesn’t surprise me if he once again being unfair to MJH.

First time I complain his stupidity act.

It’s not good having 2 heads in one body. I want to know how MJH redeem himself and take ML back to his side in next episode. I dont want him to be crazy like everyone here hope, though. Am I asking too much?

Let MJH taste a bitter tea after pushing ML to YQ, i want him to double his effort take ML back for his own noble idiocy.

My tears can’t stop. ML and MJH, they suffer a lot and finally justice prevailing.

CP is just plainly an insecure person, manipulative and evil. I dont know how he has an ability to love LM so much. Unfortunately we know a little about his past life but it can’t justify his horrendous acts towards his own family and innocent citizens.

The biggest benefit in this whole mess goes to YQ. He got the throne, and if he plays beautifully he can get his love, ML, as well. I blame MJH for pushing her to YQ, can’t he hide ML somewhere else until it’s clear who the last winner and just act accordingly? MJH, hire me as your love life advisor, LOL.

I am not a novel reader so I come with open mind. IMO, it’s worth watching. A balance of romance, political intrigue, friendship and family ties.

With the fewer total episodes, a bit hopeless.

Yes, agree with you. Thankfully the lead actor and actress are mature already. They can portray the romance scene with more depth and not too much.

I do believe that the sweet moments at ep 16-18 is necessary to make the love story between MJH and ML more believable. It’s more like a bridge before the heart wrenching separation between those two.

I will embrace the dark version of YQ so I can hate him a little bit. I am rooting ML with MJH, because so far he is a green forest, ideal for a lifetime together with ML.
