Outrageously over the top…but with a twist…and hugely funny, and entertaining. The leads are perfect together and the sentiments expressed are old-fashioned warm and fuzzy. If you want reality, don’t visit here. It’s a fantasy rom-com that does not show its age and I was very happy to have discovered it by chance.
Just finished rewatching for like the 10th time… I will never get over this drama. My go to KDrama romcom…Bye…
So well said! Also a multiple-watcher here and remembering that this show was the one that got me into kdramas. The girl who can melt lead with a smile and the guy who has the inimitable (and handsomely annoying, sometimes) “Aura.” Its been the blueprint for many romcoms since its release.
Like some others here, I wish there would be a second season. Some stories within the show can be developed and the two principals are impossible to resist seeing again together. Congratulations to the production staff. I also congratulate Ms. B. K. Park’s mean-person performance. She is a great evil eye!
C’mon man! To conclude this really fine show without rushing into the ending you need, at least, 2 more episodes. I fear another cramfest of slam-bang-thank-you-ma'am that will spoil what, up to now, has been a memorable drama.
First: Mss. Nam Ki Ae and Cha Wha Yun… ladies, you are simply fabulous actresses! Your characters wreaked havoc in “Encounter” and you do even better in this drama. I always get emotionally zapped while (really!) disliking some of the people you portray. I look forward to seeing you both again. Thank you.
Now, all I can add, is that this show is a gem and sadly misunderstood for what it tries to convey. Want a rom-com, speedy resolutions or traditional pop logic? Go somewhere else. What this superbly acted show delivers is its own triangled view of love/relationships which reflects modern life for many professional women and men. It’s not easy to understand or accept without a few winces but eventually one admires it for not diluting the message with trope-heavy sweeteners. There is way more to the show that secondary characters and situations make endearing but I have no time to go into them. See for yourself, if you’re willing to take the leap and ignore the ridiculous rating above.
Here is a tease for you “when-do-they-kiss” romanciers: the leads are shown enjoying a horizontal mambo…in episode 1…and, yes, they are, both, good kissers also.
Dear girl, keep doing what you’re doing as you do it so well. Your stoic demeanor in dramas is unique and a tremendous asset that many other actors lack. When you do smile or cry, it singularly becomes special because you haven’t wasted the power of those feelings by over-emoting elsewhere for cheap effects. You have a lot of class! Bravo and on to the next challenge.
A very happy ending! Lives led independently but united by affection, nevertheless. Maybe the answer to future family existence as life becomes even more demanding and complicated.
I love the commercials. Greedy, manipulative, trope-ridden, (excellent graphics,) multi-layered unemotional content, surgically placed and lengthened to make one forget what show you are watching and if it’s continuing in spite of the annoyances. Love it! Yes, one can pay more but promises were made that weren’t kept.
If dimple-girl wasn’t in this, I would have shut things off at “what’s in your wallet?”

Best wishes.
In the recent, “Mr. Plankton,” she lit up every scene she was in.
Confession: have watched it three times.
