Kind of sad reading about KHY and her experiencing burnout. π’ She's been acting for so long and she's done amazing shows and movies like Sky Castle, Extraordinary You, and Girl on a Bulldozer but she has always been underrated especially amongst the viewers.
I'm glad though that others in the industry are recognizing her work and calling out the fact that she's a brilliant actress.
I'm so happy that BWS is finally getting he much deserved success and recognition but feeling a litttle bad for uri Kim Hye Yoon.
Them broadcasting Extraordinary You again is definitely a start!
Hyeyoon says sheβll come out with a new project asap and that she wants to cure our mondays again. Mc asks if…
So happy to hear that! She mentioned that after Sky Castle she still wasn't receiving offers π Great to hear that people have her on their radar! She's an amazing actress πππ
I'm watching Twinkling Watermelon but its not as good tbh. The leads don't have as much charisma as Kim Hye Yoon…
I liked Twinkling Watermelon, not as much as LR but I thought it was good. I like the bromace and the relationship between the ML and his parents a lot more than the relationship/chemistry between the leads.
Cried while reading the 16th ep script, cried during the first ep release + wrap up party, cried during the final…
I feel like one of the reasons why BWS is so emotional regarding LR is because of the way he was treated throughout. He was respected, appreciated, and loved. You can see that in the BTS. When I look at the BTS from his other shows/movies, I felt that even though everyone was polite and respectful, they didnt really open up to him as much, and he couldn't do the same either.
BWS is quite playful and bonded well with the LR cast because they gave off the same energy to him.
Saw some bits of Kim Hye Yoon's radio interview and I'm glad that people are finally calling out that she was brilliant in LR and that she played a part in why it was a hit. β€οΈβ€οΈπ«Ά
I read that Hye Yoonie is doing a radio show tomorrow June 4th.
Hoping to see her on more shows. I saw some of her other varity shows from her Extraordinary You and Sky Castle days and she was so fun to watch on those!
I'm so glad they changed directors and the costumes! They really did Im Sol dirty in that inital haircut and clothes. Plus we would have never gotten Seon Jae's icon outfits from his concert scene.
One of the other reasons why I love LR (other than the story, actors, and their incredible acting) is because of the visuals. Its so aesthetically pleasing. From the scenery to the outfits. So glad they reshot everything and made those changes!
I hope people are listening to the fans and realizing that we want to see more of KHY as well! Lovely Runner wouldn't have even happened had it not been for her!
I want both BWS and KHY being appreciated and applauded for making LR what it is! β€οΈβ€οΈ
Lovely Runner made history y'all. It proved to people how even without big sponsors and promotions if a show has a great story and an amazing cast it can do incredible things!
The popularity of Lovely Runner was so organic! And it also proved that rating don't say everything about a show and how good it is and how much people love it.
The popularity that LR gained and the buzz it created amongst so many age groups - people are going to remember this for a long long time. Honestly, sometimes it feels surreal. And I'm sure that the actors probably feel the same way too.
We've already seen what an amazing actress Kim Hye Yoon is and that the script was made with her in mind
BUT
I can't get the fact out of my mind that it was Lovely Runner's fate to have Byeon Woo Seok as Seon Jae. And it was Byeon Woo Seok's fate to play Seon Jae. Everything he went through - the rejections, being replaced last minute - all of that - lead to this. It lead him to Lovely Runner and he became one of the most popular actors in South Korea! And he deserves every bit of it!
I'm so glad that Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok are getting the love and appreciation they deserve. They have shown everyone how versatile they are as actors. They're both absolutely amazing actors in my opinion π ππ
Really hoping that they sweep all of the awards π π
We have two overlapping! My list is not numbered though because I can never decide the ranks lmao: - Gaus Electronics…
I loved S1. Honestly, I think that they could have done it without S2. For me S1 was 10/10 and S2 was a 7/10. And thats just me being generous because of S1 and how much I loved the show. S1 was so funny and the entire cast had such great chemistry. I loved LJW and JSM as Jang Uk and Mu Deok. They were so chaotic. S2 was slow and I think the only thing that carried the show was the chemistry between the leads.
#1 Lovely Runner#2 Goblin#3 Healer#4 Pinocchio #5 DOTS/W- 2 worlds (I can't choose between bothπ)
Yeah I had a lot of ppl tell me that whatever happened between the couple in real life really ruined that show for them because they could never see the same way again.
Sharing my review here as well! Honestly it's hard to describe the feeling that LR gives me. Its so fulfilling and heartwarming. Its hard to put it into exact words but here it is!

Lovely Runner is the perfect example of what happens when amazing actors, amazing directors, and an amazing writer come together.
A true masterpiece in my opinion π
Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok have been perfectly cast as Im Sol and Seon Jae. The script was written for KHY. To me it was fate that all of the other actors rejected Lovely Runner. Because it was fate for BWS to play Seon Jae. These two in my opinion were born to play Im Sol and Seon Jae.
This show is the perfect balance of romance and comedy. A true Rom-com! It has some heavy heartbreaking moments but they're carried out well. And the pacing of the show remains perfectly consistent till the end.
I'm glad they didn't over complicate the whole time travel thing. It was quite straightforward. Im Sol goes back in time to save Seon Jae from his impending death in 2023. There are no parallel timelines. Its one timeline thats being altered as Im Sol changes the choices she makes in the past in 2008/2009.
The end of Episode 2 changes the entire direction and pov of the show. Its not about Im Sol going back in time to save her Idol Ryu Seon Jae. It's Im Sol going back in time to save Seon Jae (who's first love is Im Sol). Idol Ryu Seon Jae didn't just write Sonagi for anyone, it was for his first love Im Sol. It was love at first sight for Seon Jae when he first met Im Sol when they were 18.
Im Sol tries many times to change Seon and her fate but finds out that some things are meant to be and will always happen.
β¨οΈThe most important one being, Seon Jae will always fall in love with Im Sol. She is his fate. Seon will always be there for, even if it kills him.
It's just like Seon Jae says, some choices you will always make. Even when you know the consequences (in this case Seon Jae's death). Because you like them. β¨οΈ
This show gives us so many heartwarming moments. Seon Jae isn't just a green flag. Hes a green forest! Filled with nothing but love. Endless love for his Im Sol.
The ending of this show is perfect and represents SolJae so well.
Even though Sol goes back in time one last time and breaks the link that connected her and Seon Jae - as fate would have - Seon Jae took an instant liking for Sol when they cross paths again in 2023. And he falls in love with her again.
They way they showed Seon Jae gaining all of his memeories of all of the alternate timelines is beautifully done.
Im Sol that went through time and space finally succeeds in breaking the loop and is able to give Seon Jae a chance to live a long healthy life - with her by his side.
I love all of the parallels in this show. From their high school days to their college days to finally in 2023.
π―/10 for me. This is my favorite kdrama of all time! It'll always hold a special place in my heart.
