If you like male chasing female first plots then you’ll like this. I really enjoyed and even rewatched it. I thought the FL looked a tad bit old for the role but she grew on me. Of course, Elvis Han made it all the much easier to like! 8.5/10 for me.
This dramas accomplished for me what the Rational life didn’t, it has all the spiciness a Noona romance should have! I live for their childhood memories, so hilarious!
This drama is crazy and I love it! Reminds me of Sandra Brown’s ‘Mirror Image’ just a darker theme. I’m up to episode 14…hope it doesn’t lose its momentum in keeping me enthralled.
In spite of how Netizens felt about this, this drama really piqued my interest in eSports (to which I was previously clueless). I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet romance well balanced with gaming. I especially liked when we were pulled into the games to see the live action up close. Def worth the ratings.
PS… having Xu Kai in a modern drama was such a treat!
I was wondering why this jumped up to a 8.7 rating, but after watching episode 21 I totally get it! The FL could improve on her facial expressions, but as a young actress I’m sure she’ll become better over time. My boy Xu Kai is just melting my heart:-) A very enjoyable watch for me.
Allen Ren's dramas are no kissing, because the respect he has to his girlfriend (he said it himself) , so yeah,…
@DiggingIt You have described perfectly how I feel as well. I look at so many other married Actors/Actresses who separate personal from professional lives. I don’t think they are ecstatic to play those roles either, but they do it as professionals. Mark Chao/ Ye Hua in Eternal love and many others comes to mind. I now hold them in even greater respect for taking on the roles they do so beautifully for us the audience to enjoy.
Admittedly, dramas like Arsenal Military Academy had no kiss scenes and I didn’t even realize until the end. So a kiss scene isn’t a must all the time, but some roles will definitely require that to have a certain impact on us the viewers.
The plot is interesting enough to keep me watching and I also like the work place scenarios. Only thing missing for a noona romance is some heat! With a little spice this would have rung all my bells. Up to episode 26 & I’m still enjoying their interactions nonetheless.
I didn’t get that impression of her being a ‘loose woman’. From my point of view she didn’t get involved…
Exactly. Yes she didn’t always make perfect choices but who does? I liked how realistic her journey was as well. I’m sorry the ratings are this low, it was an interesting watch for me.
Yes it is. If there’s any cdrama that seem real it’s this one. The cringe is at a minimum and seems more like…
Agreed. It’s worth the watch for me too. The characters are flawed yes, but yet still they possess positive traits as well. I love their friendships and how they try to overcome obstacles together. You may have to watch it further to see these developments tho.
So it seems like the FL is a materialistic , greedy and loose woman with legs open for any and every man who will…
I didn’t get that impression of her being a ‘loose woman’. From my point of view she didn’t get involved with a rich man for financial gains, and is still trying to make her own way with her many business ideas. Reality is that, some women do go through various relationships before finding and marrying their ‘Mr. Right’. I felt the SML somewhat forced himself into her affections and he was the first she got physical with. We all have our own views however, so I respect that. Just wanted to share my take.
Everybody is praising this series so much I decided to have a try. I'm on episode 17 and all I can think is, am…
I totally agree! I so wanna like it too as I think Ryan is a really talented actor. It’s on pause for me around episode 13, I think I’ll restart but not excited to. I’m a fluff kinda girl, but I also need an interesting plot to keep me going.
