Yes, that is true. Ive read the novel as well. But with how the drama is going and cuz it is an adaptation, things are slightly changed so we may see him realising things earlier.
Has it ever occured to anyone that at this point TTJ is still imitating/mimicing XL? You can argue he is "falling in love" with YXW and that is the truth, but can he really understand what love is at this point? Ask yourselves honestly. Cuz the moment he starts truly feeling and understanding his feelings is when all the 9 nails appear. No doubt what YXW is gonna do is cruel. But what we are shown at this point is only the surface of TTJ's character, all his plots and actions will become clear in the coming episodes. I know some of you feel bad cuz of what YXW is gonna do, but tbh it is not only her fault. She tried changing him when they met Pian Ran, but he kept on consuming demons. After the dream, yes he has started to feel, and seems like he changed for the good, but did he really? Also for the people that doubt YXW is feeling something towards him and/or saying she is only doing her mission; or she wont hesitate at all. I beg to differ. Since she came back to the mortal world we have seen her do everything to destroy the bones, but also gradually understanding where TTJ is coming from. From here onwards we shall see her struggle. And that struggle won't be easy to digest. Sorry for the long post, but i have seen people only looking from TTJ's perspective these days and calling her cruel cuz she's gonna kill him. It is what it is, but they are both in the wrong for that, not only YXW/LSS.

That is true. She is being misunderstood to the point she seems like the bad guy, when in fact it is cuz of her he can live after that tower. She is the one sacrificing herself for him, for a better future and no or delayed appearance of the devil god. And tbh, both of them are in the wrong for the outcome, not only YXW cuz "she wants to kill him". Well, the girl was the one who felt her body's meridians ripping, and dying violently on that tower. When she is back to 500 years later aka present time she cannot forget what she went through - he tortured her pretty bad before the tower to the point she is afraid of the dark (she was blind in the cold palace). TTJ pushed her towards this with his betrayal - he did not stop consuming demons, used her to deal with XL, threatened her with her grandma and put her under torture for the nails, the last straw of hope she had for him was also destroyed by him when he chose YBC on the tower. Even in the immortal world he did not stop doing bad things like tryna kill LSS for YXWs soul (LSS thinks its YBCs soul tho). Yes, you can argue how she is hurt by him, but tbh they are both in the wrong for what is to come. LSS tho did save him on that tower by doing 1 thing - kept his devil bones instead of destroying them then and there, making sure he will be alive instead of dying with the bones.

Future scene. The one showing the fireworks and changing the scene in the BTS was TTJ, not YXW. If you warched closely ep 7, YXW put the fireworks up with a charm, but in the BTS it is TTJ that is moving his hand as if changing the scenary.

Well BaiLu did say the mortal arc is he hurts her, she hurts him. So for now we are only seeing the TTJ on the surface. He can surely feel something right now, yes, but in no way can he fully feel and understand feelings. The moment he does is when the 9 nails/spikes are formed. Also, on a deeper level, he has not changed at all, but becoming more and more like the devil god, hence why she ends up doing what she did. She tried changing him by teaching him before (Pian Ran and Ye Qingyu's scene when LSS first met Pian Ran), but he kept on going towards the devil god. After the dream he is like a changed person yes, but that aint gonna last for long as well.
