Yes this year is looking good! He‘s doing a wonderful job in Love Story in the 1970s! I‘m just thinking after LBTG we won’t get a drama anytime soon and the movies are hard to come by for international audiences.

ML did not compare the death of her family to their marriage. Actually he didn’t compare anything. What she wanted most was revenge. What he wanted most was a life together with FL based on mutual love and respect. Neither of them got (at that moment) what each of them wanted most because the other prevented it (in that moment). He held her back from doing something immensely stupid, from which she would have just gotten a brief moment of satisfaction anyway. She then told him that she only had been using him all along. In that very moment both brought the other’s world crashing down. That’s what ML meant when he said they were even.
What’s more, were the genders reversed everyone would cry out that FL should stay far away from such a toxic red flag ML etc!

And I cannot understand why some people say Pei Yi deserves a better ML etc. Huai Jin is smart, courageous, loyal, sweet and keeps being smart in a moment when she is absolutely blinded by rage.
