I know what slowburn means and I enjoy dramas with slowburn romance. Just not in the Double.

I didn’t like the Double. It was so overdone, so theatrical imo. And all the build up to the romance which then never delivered. But it was a well-written story. Definitely better than here.

Which dramas did you think were good in the last 2 years?

I very much enjoyed Cheng Lei’s performance in Legend of the Female General so I’d like to try this one as well, but from the trailer I don’t like how the FL seems to be written. Looks like she’ll trample over the ML. Hopefully it turns out to be different.

Agreed! Some parts were so rushed, and here they waste all this time. Looks like his agency his pushing him.

How on earth can they say that? CL is a lead actor - he has the screen presence, the looks, the micro expressions etc - while Zhang Kangle is lacking in all these fields.

But does this have any fantasy elements? The trailer looks like it, but the summary here doesn’t mention it.

He kicked her into the deeper part of the river and also knocked her out. People drown even in shallow water when unconscious. Therefore, I have no problem with the scene.
