There were definitely parts of the plot that didn't make much sense, but I'll be honest I didn't really care because…
Absolutely agree with you! I came for LXY and he really did an amazing job here. His character was written in different ways and he delivered all of it. The crying scenes … my heart broke for MJH and went out to LXY because filming this must take an emotional toll on you. Bravo. Also WJY, a joy to watch. I‘m looking forward to their upcoming projects. And the kissing scenes were really well done too.
It really isn't worth it. Have you watched The Double? It's a masterpiece.
I believe you when you say it’s a different level and has more artistic value, but nevertheless unfortunately I cannot watch Wang Xing Yue as the male lead role. He was perfect in One and Only, which for me was a masterpiece on so many levels.

Sorry, I meant what makes the Double so outstanding. I cannot watch the Double‘s lead actor in a leading role. That’s why I had to drop it. KmLm I finished because despite all the flaws I enjoyed watching it, mainly due to the strong performances by LXY and WJY.
It's a HE. The final scene is their rebirth and everyone who died appears alive in the scene. MJH and ML start…
I was really disappointed about this inconsistency. Basically all this symbolism about the undying flower was only meaningful for ML‘s situation in the first few episodes, but meaningless for the story as a whole. I love consistent symbolism.
Famous drama nowadays tends to have a sad ending. I don’t know what’s going with the scriptwriter lately.
The trailers are not encouraging. I‘m quite worried it will be a sad ending. I wrote the reasons below in spoiler. Above those were just my thoughts in general.

IMO if it’s a drama that focuses more on political scheming and revenge a sad ending for the romance aspect is sometimes quite fitting and more impactful. But KmLm focuses clearly on the romance aspect, plus they wrote MJH to be such a good and upright man in the end, so a sad ending would just ruin the entire story imo. Had they left him be this cruel crazy character from the novel then a sad ending would be fitting, it would be even quite ironic that the poison he himself gave her would then kill the woman he desperately loves.
On Marcus tonight, Liu Xue Yi could not reveal whether there was a happy ending but he said, "Well, I was hoping…
I‘m getting more and more worried that it’s a sad ending. There were some clips in music videos and trailers, one where ML gets unconscious when he comes home from war I think, and one where he falls desperately to the snow covered ground. These don’t fit into the fake death arc, so I‘m really worried this might be the ending.
For those who would have liked a duel between the "Master of Shadow Works " and the Crown Prince of Great Yan…
Very well said! ❤️ I loved their moments in the village too, and I also think it was a normal step in their relationship. It was all very plausibly developed. In the village they were in this happy bubble which gave them a place just for themselves and their hearts. I really hope there is a HE! It would be very cruel to give the MJH from the drama such a good heart and a SE.
