lol, I just finished it...and OMG. I'm still trying to figure out the point; The moral of the story. Pain for…
The only morale of the story one could detect is a person should always consider the potential consequences of his/her own actions. MJH as a kid often blamed his brother when he himself had been mischievous as to avoid punishment, later on no one believed him anymore (that he didn’t cause the fire). He poisoned Mei Lin and he sent her away against her wish, both grave mistakes of which he had to tragically bear the consequences. BUT why chose him to set these examples?! At the end of the day they showed us the story of a good man who suffered for all his adult life, dying sad and alone, while his evil brother led a good life and had a peaceful death in the arms of his loved one. The morale of this could be ‚being a good person does not pay off‘ 🤪 Sorry, I‘m still ranting.
This is beyond disturbing. The dead should be left to rest in peace.
And it’s completely out of character of the drama MJH. Apparently many fans of the book wanted to see this scene. When I saw it in the trailer or music video I thought he knew that she was alive and put on a show to maybe convince the enemy.
I’m starting rewatching too. Looking forward to your comments.Btw do you happen to have a link to that interview…
Yes I remember! The emotion seemed so real. Shooting so many sad and desperate scenes must have an impact. Li Landi said after shooting Love of Nirvana and the drama before that she was so down she needed to shoot something lighter.
I'm going to start rewatching the drama today (but this time I'm going to put a little commentary on each episode…

People can't handle a realistic ending this one was bittersweet 🙄. Some parts of the drama were honestly a…
How do you mean ‘some people couldn’t accept that this drama went a bit viral’? Why would they give a bad rating?
I honestly don’t know how to rate it. Some parts were a clear 10/10 for me, others 🤷♀️ I hate that they pulled the noble idiocy move here and made MJH send her away.
Am I on the minority here? I like the drama and the plot even the ending. I feel lonely, lol
I really like it too! I would have preferred some things differently but overall the good parts way outweighed the bad parts. The two leads ❤️❤️❤️ the settings, the costumes, styling, cinematography, colour palette, the dialogues. The story had a lot of potential… I wish the writers would have chosen a different path instead of making MJH sending ML away to Xiyan. I think then the ratings would also be better.

Actually yes … I’d still like to write a review and give an overall rating.
