Their economy is failing, currently in deflation, tourism hit new low. No new tourists from oversea, so to experience high tourists number and during the time when ppl are less willing to spend, that’s very impressive (however, it is not a good indicator for the economy as it’s just money circulate within China)

LSS loves/pity him from the beginning, not just the end lol. Evidences of her initial attraction: when the fox blows magic into her and made her act her true self. And she said: TTJ, forget YBC, why don’t you focus your eyes at me only. Then she gave him her eye. His poison is already been cleansed by the world alluring jade, but she know without his eye, he would continue to kill to find a replacement eye. You can say she’s doing it for the people, or out of pity for him, or maybe they’re something deeper (not deep love but something else). Or because she calculated her life span, and that’s the best move all around, but the fact is she knows she will be paying for it all, yet still give him and didn’t tell him about it. And the final act is her divine essence. Love for her was middle at the start, and the novel also remind us of the card god love all creatures constantly. She knows how he become who he is, knowing how hard and unfair life has been for him, and she pity/be there for him when she can. And while she can see his evilness, she also see his goodness, and in the end, she see a man trying to redeem himself but nothing goes his way. She has her doubt, but in the end, she found the way: by being there for him until the end so he knows he’s not alone, and that’s why she wanted to die with him

Uhm, im a bit mixed. B isn’t wrong in expressed her opinions. Saying you aren’t being nice about it and therefore you need to be nicer is in itself entitlement. There are rude ppl everywhere, but you don’t see ppl go to that person and say oi, you are rude, this is how you should do it 🤣 of course, it’s a different story if B stalked that page every day just to make sure everyone know she dislike Orchid, and comment negatively whenever she can. It seems like there’s a sizeable grp of ppl who do not like orchid, and they do give reasons, berated them for not seeing the character how you see it is also not cool. Well, I have read the book that literally cover all possible endings. So while I do hope for more, I’m not disappointed. My heart aches for them and still is but it’s still a good ending
