question: so I paid for the VIP for YouKu to watch. last week, I paid the extra for the express for the whole series. everything was fine until today, where I can’t watch 24? because I will need to pay more? wth???
I think most of the martial world knows Fang Zhou as he was part of the group that killed the big baddie 10 years…
correct me if I’m wrong, but she is supposed to be a common girl, not a jianghu girl, how would she know him? it’s not like shes on social media n dude is the Elon musk of ancient time?! 🤔
It would certainly look like it. But if she knew him, why didn't she react when Tang Lici mentioned him? In those…
😑 if those two are not talking to eo, which we don’t know whether they are or not, it certainly did not help make the audience feel the gravitas of the situation/conversation, which again, make the conversation feel moot?!
That’s something that yet been revealed. But definitely appears that she seems to know him. Some said she has…
so r we to assume that TLC know she knows FZ? because otherwise that whole scene makes zero sense 😑 like who is this FZ? “I killed FZ” but if idk this FZ, would it matter? would it mean anything? if it means nothing, TLC’s saying that has kinda like zero weight 🙄
To say I was very excited after seeing the BTS fight scene n how ChiLam was in there was an understatement! Then I saw the official trailer n I’m like 😣 anyway, was still hoping the show will change my mind, but the first 20mins of ep1 was very hard to watch. Why? It sounds like every other wuxia dramas: the beginning “some item that everyone in Jianghu is fighting for n also lead to treasure” = dragon saber n heavenly sword 🙄🤦♀️ then the stereotypical character of ML, supposed to be a genius but doesnt practice 😑 boiling down to his interactions/event happening between him, his parents n his siblings! How the mum pretend to hit him hard, etc 🤦♀️ there was nothing good to write about in the first half of ep1, not the silly fight scene, not the cgi. I think I’ll wait for that fight scene n that it
I will say wait for the whole thing to come out. because atm, it feels slow… I only finished the first 6eps, n there isn’t much of a plot here, so for impatient ppl, they will FF a lot of these. so best to wait until the series is finished/almost finished lol
I just finished ep 7 and am trying to be patient but also noticed that there isn’t much of a story/plot yet.…
joy! lol! I just finished ep6, n yup, still not much happening so it’s a slugfest to pass each episode, it feels soooo long even though it’s only 39mins! though there is some hot scenes (the neck blood sucking) to keep you going, but it’s far n few lol
it’s a struggle slugging through the first 3eps (and I have it run while I wash my dishes!). in term of plot, there isn’t much going on, the intrigue isn’t there either. the chemistry, while better than TLOTFG (based on the 1 “almost” kissing scene), their interactions aren’t much to keep me going anyway. the trailer seems promising, at least it was interesting to me when I first saw it 2 months ago, but the drama so far is a big meh.
the only positive so far is those shots of CL as he come out of the blood pool, beautiful cinematic! that’s it 😬the music was jarring at time 😒
I’m sorry but this is going to be my last rant for the night, but who edit this drama? their edit is so illogical! like use Xiao Jue’s word when they were at the battlefield of how he accused her of delaying blah blah would have been fine for her sword dance. but using his words in the court, where she was not there? as an emotional piece for her sword dance? like she was not there, she did not hear or see his reaction, his voice, etc for it to have any gravitas toward her. nor would she know what he said! 🤦♀️
Actually, that's not a plot hole. They were respecting Confucianism (even ML gives her a lecture on the "keeping…
see you guys are using the novel to explain the drama, which does not make sense in the drama. there was no marriage in the drama. out of no where, she is in the military as a foot soldier, trying to seek death 😒 idk as an important heir, they just let her escape n join the military?! make it make sense lol

my point in short is the drama lack consistency in story telling. let me explain, the drama obviously trying to show she’s a girl, by having that slow motion shot of her hair being let down. while back then, both men n women can have the same hair length, the fact that that shot was used is to emphasise she valued/cared for her hair because she’s a girl. which is then making the she being a boy less believable. like you want to portray a narrative, stick to it, if u want to make it look like she has to sacrifice everything to be a boy, don’t go n show her long flowy hair like it’s a crime to let the hair down, when even you said it, men also let their hair down back then lol. so what was the point of that shot if letting your hair down is such a common practice? what it is, is the cliche “the sacrifice she had to make to be a boy, i.e cant let her hair down freely”
also YouKu, u should have hold off this drama, 10mins in n it’s TFG’s plot 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
