this one was filmed right after Moonlight mystique. ARP acted fine in MM, actually quite good. here, not sure. like I only watched 3 eps so far, so there isn’t much to comment on. but I have read that ppl are complaining about both leads’s acting (not sure how true it is).

Uhm, I think for many watchers, who are not used to xianxia, would get quite confused about Feud. it has a lot of time jumps + the twist, making it even harder to navigate. 8 is still a good score! maybe later, by chance, u might come back n like it more 🤷‍♀️ 🤣

it has nothing to do with it swell up, it has more to do with a clean cut on the neck lol. if you ever did any kitchen work, even chopping chicken bones, do not give u such clean cut. for a human neck, it’s actually even harder lol. anyway, even if say you can have such clean cut, the fact that the blood not oozing out more is also not right. like they didnt have time to let the corpse drain out of the blood, so just by changing clothes would not make it that clean either. anyway, point is the whole thing looks fake 🫤

yea, the love storyline should have been more subtle. straight out at like ep2, they already have a thing for each other! yet she is then misunderstood his actions 🙄🤦‍♀️ the usual trope is troping!

I also wish it’s not so in the face. we know they will love each other, there is no need for “oh why did I do this” “did she notice it? hope she didn’t find it weird!”.
romance feels much nicer if it comes naturally. the way it is told in the first 3 eps (I’m grinding it but I might just give up lol) is too forcing on the audiences. (LLD is pretty n ARP looks good, n they kinda have chemistry, but whatever chemistry they might have, gotten weaker by the forced romance we see onscreen)

lol, I didn’t skip or FF for the first 2 whole eps! a Pat on the shoulder for me lol! idk, maybe this whole corpse bride is just too common, I feel like every series has a dead bribe somewhere 😅 idk, ever since I move to Australia, watched too much CSI n every other crime/investigation dramas, I’m just not into Chinese crime drama any more lol. the last one I thoroughly enjoyed was gun metal grey lol. but put it this way, justice Bao has spoiled this genre for me lol 😅n Chu LiuXiang 😅

did not FF or skipping, hence it’s a long 39mins! though I got to ep3, again, no skipping or FF, but by 3, my patience has run out so I just 1.5x the speed lol. n yea, I’m not feeling it. maybe because I have see. so much crime drama (modern n period since 1998!) n growing up watching justice bao, i haven’t cared for any investigate drama at all lol. n it seems this one is no exception 😬

Uhm, it’s not the usual kind of romance. it’s more like a couple, who loves each other, but are in a middle of a fight. think of it as a couple friend who is having a domestic 😅

my take is it’s NH, like out of no where he appears, it’s not NF who “wake up n chase her”. that was a totally bizarre way to end it, it took the W world ending imo 🙄🤦‍♀️which is uh! 😑how r they going to make this work in the modern world? 😒

haha yes, we all have been there and that’s why many love XW, n Thats why many saw how she would love him. it has always been there for her, that’s why she chose to run away rather than facing her feeling. she couldn’t reconcile the fear she has n the love she feel lol! n that’s why it’s frustrated for him, he knew her, he knew how she thinks, n knew she loves him, too. but she just keep running 🤣🤣🤣

lol, things drama has to do to pass censorship. and if only censorship board stays the same! one day they will be like no more than 40eps, next day they’ll be like but it’s ok to cut it into 2 parts! n then they’ll be like but you gotta make it a year apart. n then after a year, they will be like: it’s ok to be 5mo apart!

they will be like: no time travelling because girls x themselves thinking they’ll fall in love with some Prince. yet within 2-3yrs, everyone is time travelling to every settings lol.

haha, express away! that’s also one of the point in the novel, how she would run to her friend, to her ex-lover, she would do everything to help them. but for him, she would always run away. in JXN’s mind though, he still was the one that gave her the knife. us as the audiences, get where he comes from from the start. she didn’t. all this times, her experiences are clouded by that moment he gave her the knife

it’s hard… once they get top bill, they’ll cling on to perfect character. not saying the actors n actresses want this, but pressure from the fans n their agents made them think it’s the only way. that’s why I appreciated BL as her character is always flawed in a sense lol

the “story written by a modern author” in SOKP was put in there to pass censorship. the story is just about a girl who got second chance at her life. she can’t redo it over n over like in ADWAD. one is a serious drama, one is slap stick comedy, rather 2 very different genres within the period setting.

that gotta be the worst cpr ever 🙄😒! n kissing will wake ppl up in a drama world?! like idk what she was watching, but the other dramas actually attempted cpr, not “kissing”. n since shes a modern girl, would she think/do a better cpr if she was really in a panic stage? also her acting/hitting him was not that convincing 😑like I don’t feel the panic emotion she tried to convey 🤦‍♀️
