It gets a bit confusing later on but after ep 16 there's more romance i guess you can say and its more funny
TFD isn’t like this one lol. This one is angsty typical love story with people scheming, TFD is more wuxia and a journey of a girl growing up than love triangle or love quad lol. This one is pretty much using the same cliche/success formula to make the audience hook (typical Yu Zheng style). To me, this one is mediocre in every sense when compare to TFD, but it’s different genre and target audience :)

Uhm I have seen about 32eps, and I don’t think there is much to make you cry about. You might cry of frustration and anger on the direction the second half going, but heartbreaking, not really?
I was bored so I decided to give this a try, the first two episodes I thought I was going to go to sleep lol but…
Your feeling is the same as mine. Started off loving it, and while Song Wei Long’s acting was weak, I was ok and forgiving it. But as soon as first part is done, the story is terrible in the second part. Not only it’s draggy, you get like 10mins of the main leads each episode, and stuck with the second female lead >_> the romance isn’t really there, I’ll catch up once it finished its run next week. This series is the most disappointing series after PA for me.
Your review shows you kinda don’t get the story. For one, the kiss on the cheek was the past RG, not the current RG. For another, he didn’t force her to marry him. She knew he was dying, and knew he wanted to marry her, so she rushes it. Anyway, if people see the worst in everything, then this is expected. Also it’s not hard to not understand why ZF the way he is, if you pay attention to the series. YX said ZF is a cold person with a set mind, once he made up his mind, it’s hard to change it. AYL is his uncle, he believed his uncle, and the circumstances around his parents’s death raise a lot of questions, and his sifu rarely talked about it. He trust blood relationship over the love and care his teacher gave him. Not sure if you have watched to the end as it shows the reason why his sifu was keeping quiet about it, and his sifu was about to tell him at one point but got interrupted.
Love the bit about K2! It’s also very fitting as the other main actress was her evil step mother that suppress her dad, and they are running to be Queen and King of Korea xD

Sad thing is not just us get banned but the drama will lawl xD for this drama, they could make the bed scene really hot but they opt for YQ and XLN style, gentle and loving lol, not passionate like YH with BQ xD

YX - unlike the book, his immortality punishment is every month he has to endure cold to the bone on the 15th of every month, and the cold curse he absord from YZH. The cold curse would have killed him, but his sifu put him in an ice block if he stays in it for 100yrs, but he broke out early, and would technically die soon after he helped RG at the battlefield by the ocean, but his disciple used his 15yrs kungfu to extend YX’s live to a bit longer.
After RG regained her memory, YX used AY kungfu to hold off the curse from consume and kill him, as he thinks they are stemmed from the same root, however, AY kungfu and Fairy kungfu oppose each other, so they continually fight inside him, and he will only have 6months, before AY kungfu can’t hold off the curse and it will continue killing him just as before.
After the battle with AYL, he thought he die, but instead back at the fairy place, and his teacher said that AY kungfu is most evil, while the cold curse is most poisonous, so those two canceled each other out. However, since he relearned AY, its side effect (I’m assuming as much as it’s gone, its last effect) is it puts him in a mental loop, coma state, in which he has to experience the most painful memory of his life, the day his past love die.
His Sifu doesn’t know how to help his beloved student, but then remember about RG, he then used the bread to lure her into a journey to search for YX, then lead her to his dream/mental loop. There they finally meet again, and YX told RG that he thought she has moved on with YZH (as YX thinks their meeting is short, RG should be able to forget him fast, he told ZF in the jail cell about this thought), so he didn’t find her. But after finding out that’s just rumour, he didn’t show overly happy to see her, but sad and guilt ridden because he thinks his persistence at being with her cause her first death, then lead her a hard second life, and all he wants for her is a happy peaceful life.
Only after RG said “I’m not afraid/scared) that YX holds her back and said “seems like I really have to marry you this time”. Then come the bed scene.
Next morning, it is the past RG (YX’s past lover) you see, not the current RG. Her hair is full of pins, she puts her leg on the chair, did not notice the picture on the bread despite turning and checking the bread, and she picked up the 4th chopsticks with her mouth. All shows a very happy going girl rather than a grounded RG we know of. This is the loop part, and the RG you see that die here is the old RG.
After witnessing it all, RG screams “I’m still alive, YX”, that’s when YX wakes up and got out of the loop. And that’s how she saved him.
Later on, when they met again at the brothel, he said “thank you for coming to find me”, and she said “you said this before”, which confirmed their first meeting inside the dream state, and the bed scene :)
