lol, no, I’m ok not reading lol. most cdrama deviate so badly away from source material, it’s better not to read lol

one second she has a walking stick, the next second, that stick is gone, rendering her weapon less against the attacker 😑 i don’t know about you, but if I was blind, I would make sure I hold on to that stick with my life 😅

did it say in the drama that they need a heir to stay in the capital? n what is her father job anyway? that this needing a heir to stay in the capital a thing? it’s the first time I’m hearing this in cdrama lol. it’s not like they are concunbine to the king n needs a male heir to stay in favourable term with the king lol

point is once they have a heir, they can just do nothing for that first 10yrs or so of her life n stay in the capital? something is not add up, but atm, it likes the novel readers have to explain for the drama watchers, meaning the drama isn’t doing well in term of creating a believable setting 🙄🤦‍♀️

my point is when your country is at war, you don’t go n pretend to be a general 🙄🤦‍♀️ you might as well pretend to be dead n have a good life lol. but anyway, stupid drama logic, I’ll go with that 🙄🤦‍♀️

As a novel reader, it was explained a little better in the novel. Originally, she had to pretend to be her brother…
ok, so basically if I don’t read the novel, all of these info are not presented to me, n so the drama is illogical 😒🤦‍♀️

well, my point is what is her father job? a general? or just one of those bookworm official? because if he has any rank, he should be out there, but he isn’t. if he isn’t, what military achievements are they holding on? the one that she earned?

Uhm, sooo the first 15yrs of her life, how did they manage to stay in the capital? because her father isn’t a military personnel?! like while she’s a foot soldier n before when she was a kid, I don’t think that qualify them to stay in the capital?

lol, should check out my other comment. like how did the father force her to be a boy, yet let her just randomly join the military? like shouldn’t you control her so much to the point of house arresting? unless her father was a general (that was my impression when he was hellbend on making her a boy), but turn out he isn’t? n how the father n her “brother” just expect her brother can just replace her without any training?!! like wth?!! especially when the country seems to be at war or not in a peaceful period?! like do u want to die that much?! 🙄🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ the logic… 😑 n I’m not even pass half way through ep1 🙄🙄🙄
On Legend of the Female General Aug 6, 2025
ok, someone please explain to me: why did her father force her to be a boy (pretend to be her brother), yet somehow cant manage to keep her home or pursue court politic the literature way, but going through military? when the whole family isn’t a military family?!! n somehow they think the brother, who isn’t train in military, can just come back n pick it up where she left off?!! like the logic??!

in many other dramas, if the girls were to pretend to be someone in the family, they are literally house arrest! not running around in the military with men when their secret might be found out?!!! 🙄🤦‍♀️

I know that Confucian thing you spoke off, but it’s clear that the men in here has much shorter hair than the women, so this Confucius does not applied. flip the coin, if this Confucius does apply, then what’s the point of that scene of showing her long flowing hair?! if it’s not to showcase she’s still a girl at heart?! my point is: commit to one or another! also no hair that long can be tie up in a such a small bun 😅

there's a very simple c drama explanation for why Xiao Jue cannot recognise her previous identity. in episode…
no, dude. he saw her when his father die, not many years after. so the height difference cant be accounted for 🤦‍♀️ also the voice, ok, I can let it slide that he didn’t know because in that scene where his dad was dead, she technically didnt say a word. however, that sword scene seems to be when they were both grown up enough that her voice would have broken already if she was a male. but like I said, I can let the voice goes, but the height 🙄🤦‍♀️

geez, not even 5mins and a major plot hole 😑🤦‍♀️if your dad was so serious about you being a boy,…
so I thought ML n FL don’t know each other (before I started), but within 5mins, it seems they know each other, yet he didn’t recognise the voice was completely different when he saw her “brother” in court?!!! like the logic??!!!
On Legend of the Female General Aug 6, 2025
geez, not even 5mins and a major plot hole 😑🤦‍♀️if your dad was so serious about you being a boy, why does he let you have long hair like a boy? keep in mind, back then, bot’s hair is still pretty long, not as long as the girl but still, enough to feel girly! so there was no reason why she should have hair as long as that 😑🙄🤦‍♀️ reason: they just want that dramatic shot to showcase her “pain” 😑😑😑

this one was filmed right after Moonlight mystique. ARP acted fine in MM, actually quite good. here, not sure.…
some Vietnamese article, idk where they get their sources (most likely from weibo). but it doesn’t matter, the general consensus on here is no problem with the acting? n that’s all it matter lol.

I don’t think they explained it. the grandma fainted at the end of the episode, n next episode, they went straight into operation mode. I was super confused, too, so I rewinded to see what I missed

I was genuinely confused by that whole operation, thank you for the explanation lol. I even rewind to see if there was any explanation, but nope, one moment grandma fainted, next moment, operation n the weird yellow liquid come out through that wick… 🙄🤦‍♀️
