Lol, whatever, dude. Not my fault that the series chose a not great looking actress, then chose to open the series with 2 kids who look the same age, and expect me to go ok they are different age. Also I dont feel i need to read the book to know these things? i expect the series should be able to attract me on its own merits? and if the series then keep presenting me with cliche done badly (the forced admiration from the boy alongside the awkward acting), 🤷‍♀️! And while I know I haven’t watched it fully, I read comments enough to know this is a series you should not waste your time in. You can’t seem to accept ppl’s negative opinions about it. If I was truly hating it, I would have score it already lawl. But hey, it’s expected of XZ’s fan area.

I love one and only and it’s a master and disciple love story. Point is knowing it’s a master and disciple love story, I was ok giving it a go, however, when I got hit with the childhood meeting, my eyes just start rolling like a slot machine lawl! Couldn’t help it! There’s cliche you know you head into. But when you get hit with the typical cliche before you hit the predicted cliche, and the typical cliche made you feel tired, suddenly the expected cliche is like a massive huddle you can’t get passed!
Also given that they are like basically same age (due to their childhood encounter), and then later on turn master and disciple, it seems too ridiculous for me to even continue!
Btw, I love king the land, n it’s full of cliché, but the leads have chemistry, and the cliché are done well. If say the first cliché made me feel tired, I certainly won’t keep on watching. You can enjoy cliche and you can certainly despite cliche lol

Pretty sure what is discouraging ppl to start this is 1 - a mediocre looking FL, who not many know of her acting. You can argue you should care more about acting than look, but there are many actresses out there who looks much much better and acting either on par or better, and a lot more well known.
2 - ignoring the FL, the plot sounds meh, not exciting at all.
3 - the only thing this drama has going for is XZ, but if you don’t care about him, it has nothing to offer 🤷‍♀️
4 - and if you decided to check it out, the first episode offer you nothing but cliche after cliche. Meet during childhood time - check. Impressed during such encounter even though the event is nothing to be impressed of - check. Later become teacher and student - check check check 🙄
5- negative/just so so words of mouth/news/comments. If the news related to this drama can only highlight that this drama is popular due to XZ, not because of the plot, the acting nor the chemistry, then it does not give confidence to anyone to try it further. Moreover, ppl who watch it said it’s the worst FL character ever, the illogical plot lines. And then the FL actress tries to demonstrate she was done wrong by the production team makeup artist but fail…

Might as well! Just tell the crew to camp here for like a week, we will get there

If it’s not for you, it’s not for you. But to say this draggy? Lol, ok. A lot of time, support characters are the interesting one because they don’t have a lot of screen time. But it will be pretty boring and dragging if they do get more screen time. I think this series does a good job at striking the balance

So I have been holding out on watching the latest 2 eps because it’s near the end, and I couldn’t bare to see bad things happen to them to you know, break them up a bit before the finale. So I’m like let’s just wait until it all come out. Yet the last 2 days all I did was watching shorts of these 2 eps and smiling ear to ear 😒 so now both eps have been done and I’m like uh… need more!
These two are so cute together! Ep9&10 is just too sweet. The friendships, the lovers. Everything is so good! I can’t believe we have passed the half way mark! It doesn’t feel like it! I love the grandma and the life lessons she’s giving to the ML. And how he’s so grateful toward her!
