I’m with you on this. Kinda sick of at least the past 5 years of Hollywood. They just can’t tell a story normally. Possibly this is why everything, everywhere all at once ML was soo great to watch. And it’s a representative story of how an Asian family is in the western world. You get to see a story unfold without feeling like they try to push some agendas into you and you must go: wow, that was so great.

Actually we do know the intention of this particular writer you keep hounding racist remarks upon. History is full of ugliness, by having Hollywood changing the race when it wasn’t possible, you literally let them lessen the pain of YOUR People. What? Representing black people onscreen now while ignoring the actual inequality that is still happening now is like throwing a dog a bone. But this attitude of yours is why most of us turn away from Hollywood and their colour skin diversity, and feminine agenda.

There’s a right way and a wrong way for colour diversity, just like for the LGBT+ community. Stop just jumping on people and assuming the worst from them. I understand the subject is sensitive and you have had life experiences where it makes you jumpy, but do try to be respectful of others, ask for their explanations and POV rather than just straight off assuming they are racist and calling them so. That’s how you shut down a meaningful conversation

What’s a donghua? I like manhua, anime = not so much. Like certain genre do well with anime (I love fate stay night, the original and unlimited blade works), but I found Chinese xianxia is better off as manhua and live action
