In regard to ML need redemption arc, no, idc about redemption, I care about the story lol. He/she can be severely punished, and they are. What have YBC received in punishment? An easy death? What have YXW received in punishment? Blind, pain everyday, her relationship with GYJW is forever ruined because she stabbed him, and she will forever feel guilty about it.
And btw, the real YXW is DEAD, there is no redemption for her lol. Sometimes you know, dead is the end. And that’s that lol. Same with why is good character die and don’t get to come back? Sometimes they just don’t. And that’s that lol

My explanation is pretty plain and simple why she doesn’t need it lol: NOT EVERYONE change their stripes lol. In a story, if everyone redeem themselves, it’s pretty meh and boring lol. You will be like here we go again lol. You need some characters don’t. And we always expect SMLs to follow this traditional route, and SMLs always follow this route. If the SMLs is charismatic, sure. But not here. If their story is compelling, sure, but not here. Her childhood is not as bad as TTJ, the drama barely touch it, so why are we even bother? Case in point, the killer monk series, the SML was sooo good, and he redeemed himself by just his actions and love for the hair monster. So yea, if the acting was better, we have more time, sure. They explored it more, ok. But atm, nope. The actress is pretty meh, her character isn’t that much interesting either, sooo no, she does not need a redemption arc.

Well so far, we have scenes for the BE (book reader knew it immediately lol), then the OE (their child). What we haven’t seen is the HE, I would say that the demon wedding mean to be the HE, but then in the book, their wedding is a mortal one with a cute pursue from her. Sooo yea, I think we won’t get that, damn 40ep
