Why does everyone assume XL is safe? Because we see TTJ just put him in a cell? Lol! You trust this man to just keep someone there and not use him at whatever opportunity arise to benefit his needs? Noble? Nope, she’s doing it for a person who she thinks deserving it. XL is a good person, he deserve to live. If it was TTJ in that jail cell, she would help him, too. I read the book, too. And yes, it’s dark, sure, she’s hurt, and she is traumatised no doubt. But she does not hate him. Not once in the book it ever described she loathed seeing him. She just wants to escape and not see him as it brings so much emotions up for her. She was in a place where she needs to nurture her broken heart, you only go to hate if you meet something like SJ. For LSS, she was sad and depressed, but she didn’t hate him. Anyway, we have different take from the book.
