Erh no, words do not make it a guarantee things will be better. LSS does not know how and why he turns, she has limited time to make sure her mission success. There is no do-over. And while he’s still an ok human being atm, the fact that having a devil bones mean he will turn sooner or later. So her mission has always been destroying the devil bones. And also, if you tell a person: hey, I’m here to kill you, but I don’t need to kill you yet or I won’t kill you, but you will turn evil later on. Do you think you will alive after saying that lawl. Will there be trust? Or even more mistrust? Would it make your mission any easier? I like how it happened in the book lol.
