There's too much judgement for a first 2 episode. Some seem like they have seen everything just by watching 2 episode lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever the story will offer to me; whether it will blow my mind or not. I'm not just up for the romance part, there's no chemistry at all. Hihi.
Damn. Ep12!!! Dong Shik waeee??? Ugh. I knew from the first time The Guy was mentioned in the earlier episodes he could be the boy in the car that hits Su Young's Mom but I never thought that it will be Dong Shik!!! I dunno but I never suspected him as The Guy and I'm kinda hurt. Su Young will definitely going to be hurt a lot once she learned about it. Excited for the next episode!!!
I think it still depends on people's preferences and expectations. As for me, being a kdrama huge lover for almost two decades now (2002 to present), I don't feel like the romance died in kdrama. It just evolved or probably it's just my point of view. Or probably because in recent years, I stopped raising my expectation rather I started exploring different genres and from time to time didn't stick only to romance melodrama genre. As for your mentioned kdrama couples with chemistry I only agree to Her Private Life and did not felt the similar kicking chemistry with the rest.
Do Bong Soon is too cutesy for my preference, even the couple, but I loved the comedy part of it, it had me laughing a lot.
Hotel De Luna, I never felt the chemistry and the story is too unrealistic for my preference just like Goblin and MLFAS - although I liked them. I was only able to finish HDL because of Chung Myung and Man Wol's unfortunate story.
The Secret is very good - story wise and the couple's chemistry. I also like the lesson it conveyed to me, it's one of my favorites while Healer is good the impression it left to me didn't last long especially the romance.
CLOY is beautiful but it was too cheesy for my taste and while the chemistry is there at the beginning it died down for me as it progressed.
Angel's Last Mission - I love SHS but the rebellious concept of the story and the rebelliousness of the characters against God just to prove their undying love for each other and the lack of knowledge regarding angels had me unfortunately hating it.
I like HPL more, mainly, because of the lessons it brought concerning relationship not only romantically but especially towards the people who have hurt them. Yeah, it holds cliché plots but the lessons it conveyed captured my whole heart and that's what's more significant for me.
So I guess it really does depend on people's preference and expectation and sometimes, it depends on one's mood. Moreover, the kdramaworld is expanding and adapting different genres and will keep on doing so. It won't adjust for us viewers, we just have to find what suits our preference and try to explore other genres, too. Good day.
It's been almost 6 years yet this drama is still my number one drama of all time!!!! Never get tired rewatching it and the feels are still the same!!!!
It has ended and my mind hasn't changed a bit, I LOVED this season more than I loved the previous one. Characters from s1 has so much complexity than the characters here in s2 which I prefer more. This story has more heart to heart moments and life lessons which I really LOVE A LOT!!! I love the wholesomeness of Woo Jin and Eun Jae's slowburn romance and even the subtleness of Eun Tak and Areum's relationship. They had less skin ship but whenever they backed each other up and have a heart to heart talk maaaan that's more than romantic for me. This is a medical drama so I really did not expect more romance moreover, this season was not given enough episode to discuss everything unlike season1. So I'm expecting another season with the same cast from s1 and s2. I believe there will really be s3 as several matters were not yet tackled and explained in here just like what oddball is all about. I love all the characters here except Dr. Yang and Do Yoo Wan.
