I am on episode 12 and even though I enjoy the sci fi element (it's giving Fringe which is one of my fav shows) and the characters, I am not feeling the romance at all. And there is ALOT of romance. Like, ALOT. Out of nowhere. Like old school fairytales where they meet for 35 nanoseconds at a ball and they know they found the ONE even though the only personal thing they know about them is their shoe size because of the glass slipper they left behind. Anyhoo, the world building and the characters are cool.
I have no idea why people dislike season 2, Bu Yeon slaps. Even though she isn't the fighter that she was as Naksu or as strong willed and cunning that she was as Mu Deok, she still has the fighting spirit and wit that is within the core of her personality and I for one love her for it.

Hi. It's been a while since I watched it, but if I remember correctly, there were so many jellies in the school because it was on top of a river that many people had drowned in, and the energy was gathered there. The school was built there by the ML's grandfather in order to seal the negative energy but he also wanted to learn how to use it and gain power. The energy grows with the student's laughter if I recall correctly. The English Teacher and the Highschool Friend were part of a secret society which is trying to take over the school for the same reason. The Nurse lost her powers because of the thing she touched in the English Teacher's Home and when the mark on her neck disappeared, she got them back. That's the literal explanation. I think the whole show could also be viewed as an allegory, in the likes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but that's a long discussion.
The main crime was solved thanks to 75 coincidences, the secondary couple made a U turn midway to the point where you'd think they had their memories of what happened in the past wiped out, Lee Seung Gi throws more tantrums than my 2 year old in the supermarket but still... I had fun?
The relationship between the members of the team was the heart of the drama and it's what made me binge watch the whole thing easily. I'm glad I decided to give it a shot.
Am I the only one who liked the FL? I think she was well portraited by Oh Yeon Seo. A bit of a loner, reserved, trying to act brave while she's scared, determined to survive despite the circumstances. It's true that Lee Seung Gi steals the show out of the two of them but I do think she did a good job.
I'm affraid that I'm the odd one out in here, I found this drama to be mediocre at best. From the script to the character portrayal and to the terrible - absolutely horrendous - acting by the kazillion extra actors who were most likely tourists picked off the street, I honestly don't know what it is about this show that makes everyone else love it. I clearly missed it.
I am currently on ep.15 and there is plenty of comedy so far, a bit more that I'd like to be honest. I hear it's…
It does change about halfway through the drama. Let's just say that it's all fun and lols until it suddenly isn't and then everybody is a ball of misery and pain.
Two reason to watch Ashes1. Often MC channels Gong Yu. Their eyes asre so much alike I kept wondering what drama…
I totally second the Gong Yoo comment. I started watching it yesterday and I was beating myself trying to remember where I've seen the guy before. And then it hit me. He's a Chinese Goblin!
Comedy? In Fu Yao and Eternal Love (TMoPB) isn't even comedy listed but there is enough in it for my taste...
I am currently on ep.15 and there is plenty of comedy so far, a bit more that I'd like to be honest. I hear it's gonna be all tears and angst later on, but since you mentioned Eternal Love, there's more comedy in this one.
1. This is one of the best reviews that I've ever read. 2. I am now on ep. 13 and I'm loving it. But now you've scared me. Is it really gonna go downhill soon only to become amazeballs on ep.30 and on? I am depressed in advance :(
Ok, so... KO and Hao Mei used to play a game together where Hao Mei was using a female account and they kind of had an online relationship. And then KO started working in the University Cafeteria. And then he got a second job at Hao Mei's favorite restaurant. And then he hacked his computer and ended up workinng with him. For Free. And he is one of the best hackers in the country. Does this mean that he had been stalking him since the time that they were playing that online game? At first I thought that he first noticed him at the school cafeteria and that him working at the restaurant was a coincidence. But now I get the feeling that he's been following him around for quite some time.
Excellent review. I am currently watching it, on ep.8 atm and I hit the pause button and went through the reviews to see if there was anyone else out there who felt the same way that I did about the romance. Couldn't have put it better myself. Kudos.

The Korean Rui was... I dunno how to say it politely... He was really good looking and I heard that he's a good singer but, but, but... his acting was... You get my point :]
