I have only ever given one other BL a 10/10 rating, and that was (funny enough) another mafia BL, Long Time No See.
KP set the new bar for what BL is. Amazing casting, amazing acting, hilarious, seriously, perfect comedic tone, fluff, drama, action. The pacing, plot, plot twists, everything was masterful.
There is nothing I would change about this series (ok maybe I would get rid of KimChay cause oh boy they have no chemistry haha)
Amazing, amazing amazing. A must see for everyone. If there isn’t a season 2, it will be a loss for the whole industry. Can’t wait!!! Cause I know there will be!
This was such a good premise but a terrible execution =/ I’m literally sad.
Every plot point was super forced and statistically unlikely. I would have forgiven that because it’s a drama, but it was too much.
Also, the misunderstandings were… so bizarre????? Like??? Where the hell are these people getting this from?
Maze treats Phab like trash near the end, and it’s literally never addressed again. The characters don’t talk about it or resolve it’s. It’s just…. Magically solved?
Im not going into detail because this doesn’t have a spoiler tag but… yeah. What a lost potential.
Aww this was so light hearted and cute! One of the best things about Taiwanese BL is that, once couples get together, there is no Tsundere scenes! That’s why I love it so much! Every one is just loving and cute with their partners <3
Also, I loved Jin Yuzhen/ShiLei but I have to say, my favourite ship was SiqiGang!!! They’re SO CUTE!!!!! I wish the special had been about their wedding!!!
I SCREAMED SO HARD WHEN BAS SHOWED UP!!!!! IM SO PISSED THAT THEY DIDNT END UP TOGETHER!!!!
Ok seriously. I thought that Bas showing up was because Oh was finally ready to move on and leave the trash can that is Teh.
Honestly, as far as I’m concerned, the last 10 minutes of the episode did not happen. I don’t care. Bas and Oh are together and they went to the wedding as a couple.
Teh is growing (I think? At least he didn’t cheat on his latest partner, as he’s downs previously with all). But he still made this whole play for Oh instead of talking to him, forcing Oh’s feelings with grand gestures.
And even in the end, he came out without asking/telling Oh that he was gonna do it. And Oh was clearly caught off guard and not into it. Like.. I know both the play and the photo are suppose to read as these super romantic things, but they don’t, not to me. They read as more of Teh doing what he wants, regardless of others.
BAs would have been the perfect partner for Oh. It would have been amazing to see Oh hold down on his no and just become friends with Teh.
At least, it was satisfying to see him rejecting Teh so many times.
Ah.. I loved this series. But I will pretend the last 10 minutes were different.
There is only one way I can accept Oh and Teh getting back together:
Teh goes on to become a famous actor, he either keeps acting like a dick or Oh’s breakup is enough to make him pull his head out of his ass. Eventually, he matured into a proper, not-selfish person.
Oh thrives amazingly at his life, full of friends, laughters, color and a career he loves. He dates and has some boyfriends here and there.
A decade later, they run into each other. Teh is still very in love with him, but now has the emotional maturity to be kind to another person. He asks for a chance, an Oh (who is full of self respect) says yes, but very firmly.
Teh turns out to really have grown out of his selfishness, asks forgiveness for all he’s done in the past, comes out to his fans, they get married and live happily ever after.
Enjoy my friend!

Don’t get me wrong, I like this story. It’s just not the story I wanted. But now I just can’t stand Oh/Teh as a pairing.
I hope Oh has a new boyfriend in the last episode and they go their separate ways.
