I just finished episode 1 and it's exciting, everything looks pretty. He is so into her and it's quite heartwarming with the OST. I just knew he fell the moment he looked into her eyes while examining her. Funny to see the Grandpa shares same sentiments.
I normally wait till after watching to rate a show but I literally can't hold it in anymore, rating this a solid 10/10! It seems to get better with each episode, 7 and 8 were soo good.
The best part is how it is short and direct to the point, each new character is interesting and has their own story.

Indeed everyone is soo cool, love them! The latest addition, the prime minister's daughter Simu, literally has me smiling whenever she is on screen, she has such a bright presence. I have never seen the actress before and I'm going to check out her filmography later
I can't believe we have only 5 episodes left 😫. The good thing about this drama is the pace never went down, the second half of the show is even more interesting to me.
Ep 35, Dylan and XiWei's cute chemistry in the opening scene was overpouring 🤩. I love Qi'An' relationship with everyone and I must say one of the best relationship development I rate highly is with his aunt; comparing their dynamic in ep 1 and now. I don't know if they will show his family again and Wei before the end, due to the high chance of S2.
Oohhhh! Fuling really ended up being Bai Shuo's sister as suspected!😲 Maybe that's why she unknowingly shed the tear when their dad died (in the opening credits, they might show us later).
I knew there was no redemption for her since beginning but now it's even crazier for her. And I feel she's about to do more evil things before she discovers the truth.

Yes, most of the emperor back then had that 'supreme ruler' character to centralise/ balance power. However, some of the emperors also cherished and recognised talents, and when it starts getting to a jealousy situation it becomes an ego problem. For this emperor, I feel there's that and more to him, I can't place my hand on what exactly goes on with him but def something. But let's watch further and see what his arc will be about
The kiss scene was beautiful and affectionate 🤩. Good chemistry between Dylan and XiWei; the moments leading up to it, especially the eye contact was everything. The beautiful fireworks was also well done by the director.
I love that after that moment, Princess Lin'an left romance to go discover herself and be free, speaks volume of her character development! I really cherish Grand Princesa Huaiqing always looking out for her sister 🥺
