Exactly! If the actors weren't ready to kiss you need not do that! Some hand-holding, or a nice forehead touch would have sufficed. The point of that scene was for Marcus to see Art and Mickey in a tender moment.
Two amazing kisses in Pinoy BL were in Gameboys and Gaya Sa Pelikula. Those felt very earned and real! The writing is bad, but I'm still blaming the Director for most of the crap here with his crappy decisions . . .

Script is one thing, but directing is another. A good director can work with a not so great script and still come up with something acceptable and not just a major joke.
Yes, just like with SciFi where we saw the move to more political intrigue with the space and monsters being just there in Battle Star Galactica vs Ster Trek: Enterprise, this could have gone from the point of the coupe to the BL side much better. The concept was original for the BL world, the execution not so much.
I wonder if a civil war in Z will spillover to the lobby of the Grand Hotel?

There was such a missed opportunity to have the double entendres be errors in translating Zeyn's English (?) to Tagalog. That would have made them more funny and feel real.

This had so much potential to be one of the best BL's of the year. Oxin really dropped the ball here. Scenes like Malik and Ken at the cafe were well done, only to get the scene of the Zerbanian blackmailing the Prince!

It was utterly funny. The bangs were real. Dovee laughing was from a real place. Any second takes would never get that response!

Might as well relocate the entire Royal Palace to The Grand, Manila, and rule the kingdom from there!

Zurbania has its main charge account at the Grand Hotel so when anyone from the country visits the Phillipines they automatically stay at The Grand :D
Once you clear Immigration at Ninoy Aquino you are automatically shown to The Grand courtesy transport van: the Toyota that Mikey uses as his tour bus :D

They had such an amazing premise here! The characters as designed are not half bad either for what they are. The production values are really high. This is shot in 4k while GMM is 1080p.
So:
1. Why the ad-libbing? Stick to the script! I'm sure some film student reading this could tighten it up to be real quality! Even if the actors add lines, have the Director, I don't know: direct! Xion needs to take some examples from JP Habac (Gays Sa Pelikula) and Boss Naruebet (I Told Sunset About You)!
2. The musical numbers could still be in Mikey's head as an unreliable witness. That would give it so much more credence.
3. Why does Oxin insist on Chuckchuck and family? I get that they are the Producer's pets but why? Even if they do allow the dogs to be dogs, not babes in prams!
However:
Just like My Day, I can't stop watching! So at least Oxin has that going for it!

After Namtan as Giwi in The Player this, so far, seems tame in comparison.
It's interesting, though, that Korn is not in on the feud. One hardcore trope would have been to have him on his mother's side and plan.

Not to mention at least a full minute of brusing teeth with Systema!

GMM has the most amazing placement of the Suzuki Swift in its most recent dramas. High ponit, action scene, baddie getting away, yet we stop for a compliment of how practical the Swift is, or to see the amazing rear view camera system!

The only good thing is the actors seem to be having fun at least. Apollo seems to be genuinly enjoying hamming up Zafar!
Does Oxin do more than one take for a scene? Seems to be, "Camera, Action! O! that wasn't in the script! O well! Print! That's a wrap!"

I'm impressed by Gun's portrayal of Black. He made him an entirely different personality! From the head-down tilt to the aggressiveness, it came off perfectly natural!
Love it when GMM gets political! If more BL's could actually have a story other than boy boy love!
