The thing about this is that you have to look at it from the POV of Nott being what's called an "unreliable narrator." Unreliable Narrator - An unreliable narrator is an untrustworthy storyteller, most often used in narratives with a first-person point of view. The unreliable narrator is either deliberately deceptive or unintentionally misguided, forcing the reader to question their credibility as a storyteller. - https://www.masterclass.com/articles/what-is-an-unreliable-narrator-4-ways-to-create-an-unreliable-narrator-in-writing So, looking at it from this POV crazy things like the elevator and the washroom scenes were all in his head, and not really how it really happened. It's quite an interesting way to develop the story. A movie like Chicago was done in this stylised method to bring across what was going on in the mind of the character, rather than the reality. The nice thing with YYY was that although this craziness was portrayed, the story was never far behind. The production team did a masterful job bringing the wackiness and the reality in line with the actual story. I loved the ending. The spaceship allegory was actually a taxi, meaning the character was leaving. It is such a good scene.
This had so much potential. The story was original for a BL (Pinoy, anyway), the characters were interesting, the setting and locations were quite good, the production value was high but what the hell happened Xion and Oxin???
Gun does not deserve to be in this series. He is so much better an actor than this. Seems like an easy pay check…
I really don't like him in these damsel in distress roles. He is a great actor: give him some variation! He is playing twins in Not Me and doing a bang up job with both personalities!
I want more Zafar!!! Apollo is just enjoying hamming it up!!! That evil laugh!!!
That being said, My prince is returning to Zurmania. Does My Prince not have advisors? Does My Prince not have an army behind him? Can't the team and My Prince not hold a press conference in the very lobby of The Grand (seeing that that's the Zerbanian Embassy at this point?) Are they just going to enter Zurbania with no real plan My Prince?
(Hope anyone reading this sees the overuse of My Prince. Trying to speak like a Zerbanian.)
we getting all those shameless flirt to get such a "ridiculous" angle camera kiss ? Really Really !!so far episode…
Exactly! If the actors weren't ready to kiss you need not do that! Some hand-holding, or a nice forehead touch would have sufficed. The point of that scene was for Marcus to see Art and Mickey in a tender moment. Two amazing kisses in Pinoy BL were in Gameboys and Gaya Sa Pelikula. Those felt very earned and real! The writing is bad, but I'm still blaming the Director for most of the crap here with his crappy decisions . . .
This had so much potential to be one of the best BL's of the year. Oxin really dropped the ball here. Scenes like…
Script is one thing, but directing is another. A good director can work with a not so great script and still come up with something acceptable and not just a major joke. Yes, just like with SciFi where we saw the move to more political intrigue with the space and monsters being just there in Battle Star Galactica vs Ster Trek: Enterprise, this could have gone from the point of the coupe to the BL side much better. The concept was original for the BL world, the execution not so much. I wonder if a civil war in Z will spillover to the lobby of the Grand Hotel?
Some of the innuendo and double entendre's are moderately amusing....particularly when 'Zeyn' says he doesn't…
There was such a missed opportunity to have the double entendres be errors in translating Zeyn's English (?) to Tagalog. That would have made them more funny and feel real.
More Zafar! Apollo seems to be having such a good time hamming it up! Goodness. I'm not a director, but Xion needs to really learn how to do his job! Such high production values, but the acting really, really lets it down! What's wrong with doing second takes?
This series was such a huge letdown. I was so hyped about the series as I really like Oxin Films but the quality…
This had so much potential to be one of the best BL's of the year. Oxin really dropped the ball here. Scenes like Malik and Ken at the cafe were well done, only to get the scene of the Zerbanian blackmailing the Prince!
