After Namtan as Giwi in The Player this, so far, seems tame in comparison. It's interesting, though, that Korn is not in on the feud. One hardcore trope would have been to have him on his mother's side and plan.
I don't mind PPL - it's all over media no matter which country you're from. I find it most egregious in Thai dramas,…
If I know nothiong about Thailand I now know Oishi, Est Cola and OK Generation! GMM has the most amazing placement of the Suzuki Swift in its most recent dramas. High ponit, action scene, baddie getting away, yet we stop for a compliment of how practical the Swift is, or to see the amazing rear view camera system!
This show is a trainwreck! seriously it's so bad. I don't know why I keep watching. Well I do : when you see a…
The only good thing is the actors seem to be having fun at least. Apollo seems to be genuinly enjoying hamming up Zafar! Does Oxin do more than one take for a scene? Seems to be, "Camera, Action! O! that wasn't in the script! O well! Print! That's a wrap!"
I'm impressed by Gun's portrayal of Black. He made him an entirely different personality! From the head-down tilt to the aggressiveness, it came off perfectly natural! Love it when GMM gets political! If more BL's could actually have a story other than boy boy love!
This is as much a trainwreck as My Day! Is this their signature: creating questionable but dramas that, somehow, just need to be watched? :D The singing part of this would have been so much better if we were seeing it from Mikey's eyes as an unreliable witness. He could have been narrating the story from his POV, then the singing could have made sense and made the drama more palatable. Ep.3 - It would have been funny if Zeyn had tried to say the workout line in Tagalog which could have led to a slight mistranslation. That bedroom scene. Hmmmm . . . Why do so many of the lines seem improvised? Come on! Improv should be the last thing we want to be presented!
This has so much potential. Such a good concept. Ep.2 what was the point of the kidnapping? Oxin needs to do work on their scripts and acting. Chukchuk seems to be the best actor here!
She reall, really, really shined in this series! From her makeup to her acting! She had amazing presence and even chemistry with each and ever other actor!
so a) I like the show but also b) is this the same house that's four minutes in to enchante ep 1?? is this house…
Isn't it tthe same house in Baker Boys and a few others as well? If not it's the same design witht he protruding window. It's a beautiful house though.
This is so underrated Thai drama so far...I hope that mim will get arrested and tin will be kicked out of police…
Giwi was amazing! Steering down the barrel of a gun held by someone who despises you, yet not showing an ounce of cowardice! Still has the strength and presence to make a speech!
Ok, usually I keep my comment short and simple but this episode was EVERYTHING to me.Tin finally knows the truth.…
Namtan is the queen here! Wow! I really didn't know she could pull off such a role, but boy does she do it! She has the expressions, the reactions, and just perfect timings! At first, I was wondering who this actress was, she looks so mature in this make-up! I didn't recognise her!
Eve saying It will take time to forgive was so poignant. Yes, something bad happened. It will take time to forgive. In these scenes, it's so cliche to say, "Yes, I forgive you." That statement is powerful.
Tin remembered his mother saying not to be a player. That basically what turned him around. But I agree with you: that scene could have played out better, with more feeling. Also, the makeup of the bruises keeps disappearing and reappearing as the camera moves from Tim to Tin.
I'm really enjoying Namtan's Giwi. Baddie of the year! However, the continuity of Tin's and Tim's fight is another story! As Mim is talking to them the bruises keep disappearing and reappearing! Continuity is not GMM's strong suit. There are several instances of it lacking between scenes in many of their shows. This one, however, is bad! I could forgive Dan's hair colour being all over the place, but at least keep a post-fight scene in continuity!
Did I miss something? How did Mim get the Touch and Matt video? Was that explained? I'm really, really, really enjoying Tan's performance as Giwi. Usually, she is the "good girl" but just slides into the villain role! Also, this makeup has her looking even more stunning!
Who would have thought that such a huge amount of drama, bitchiness, perfidiousness and intrigue would make this…
It's amazing how they balance victim and villain with Mim. You begin feeling sorry for her, but realise she is the same as the others. Whether she was like that to begin with or became is another story. The writers have done a good job writing her part.
This was really one of those sleepers. It was way better than I thought GMM could pull off with the concept. The acting was superb. The split between the old and young was perfect, not only in the cast but in personality traits. Well done GMM!
I'm not really sure what to make of this series. I was okay with the comedic elements of the mains, and then all…
The comic parts are played for comedy and the dark parts have their place. It has a good seperation with a slight leading-in when Punn gets his flashbacks. We sometimes make fun of friends that have phobias, not understanding the fears may come from a dark place, so it's not making fun of the situation that broung about the phobia. Tastefully done IMHO. The only thing is Pooh needs a little more developing at this stage although we get some of his background.
What I loved: 1. Epic coming-of-age story! 2. Leadership pushed on someone who has leadership qualities but never recognised it in themselves 3. Speaking of leadership, Kankuro's development was purely a joy to see, and having that development come with support from the other characters was perfection, including the interactions with his parents 4. The love interest was a good B plot, and not overpowering 5. Showed the prevailing culture of denizens perfectly: Japanese culture of academic success over everything else, as well as Kankuro's dad explaining to him that apologising to the farmer was part of his job and not Kankuro's fault 6. Standing up to leadership/ authority while still being respectful 7. The way the teachers came around was very organic, and, as with Miwako (I think), the leadership of Shindo shone through where he had to find the ring. It took her a virtual blessing by her mother-in-law to be to make her see the way. 8. We actually got the full performance in the end! That was truly epic to see it all payoff!
What maybe could have been done better: 1. The challenges seemed to come too one at a time. Overlapping conflict, where it did exist, was good, but the conflict was too episodic at times. 2. A little more development of the background of the main characters would have gone a long way to explain their motivations. Tanaka, Tatematsu, and Ishizuka could have got some more backstory. 3. A little epilogue would have been nice. We wanted to see these characters succeed. It need not be some long exposition, but a little foreseeing of their future would have been nice,
This was a very good production for the budget, with just a right amount of funny and quirky at times. Great storyline which did pay off!

GMM is slowly having more dark actors which is a good thing.
