This series just hits me to the core. I can relate to Nut's struggle as a gay guy growing up being bullied by…
The sad thing here is the realism is amazing, but the shipping fans will not like it that much. Exploring the pain of a teen gay in this method is so epic. Exploring it from the eyes of someone with no experience (Tofu) is just perfect. The exposition of what Nut went through didn't feel unwarranted nor time-filling.
I also applaud the character of Song and his relationship with his dad. It seems to be very healthy, but Anik's preconceived notion of Song being strong has led him to be somewhat neglectful. Getting the push for better communications was well handled.
The motivations of each character are made crystal clear. That's development we don't really see in most series. The disfunction is so real that it's tangible. We can see Sip's motivations, being a "manly" army guy and wanting his son to be his idea of "manly."
All these other BLs make it so easy: son comes out, parents celebrate. Hell, look at Cutie Pie with that utter rubbish plot! And that series is popular! I'm glad this was made!
i was about to watch it because i saw Joss Way-ar Sangngern in the trailer but then he drops, so disappointed
Luke is perfect in the role! I think he's better than Joss because he is physically bigger. It's funnier seeing him try to play a drag queen while being so muscular and "male." He also has great chemistry with all the actors, even the drag queens.
I've read the manga and watched all versions of this drama over the years, and I have to say that they did an…
I think this could that the award for Most Sponsors in a Thai Drama though :D All the star power had to be paid for somehow :D The production values were amazing. Locations really felt like Thailand and Singapore.
I don’t condone violence, but Mon is a man of few words. If you’re trying to bully him, make sure you have…
Gap has got the whole brooding silent type down. The punch was a perfect reaction someone so introverted would do after being pushed like that. The apology was sincere though.
seriously i will never shut the fuck up about how namtan deserves an award for her role here, no further explanation,…
It's really great to see actors outside their stereotyped roles. Singto is an epic actor. It was really amazing to see him in a hetro role. Gun is another actor that is totally great when given roles outside the damsel-in-distress that he seems to almost always be in. However, Namtan really stole the show here. I never expected her to be able to so totally make a baddie this good! She stole every scene without being overbearing! All her costars had great chemistry with Giwi!
I dont like the ending , especially about Mim character and Tin is so emotional & blind to be a police officer…
I think Namtan's Giwi held the show together. That's how to be a baddie! She really took over the role and made it hers! In the first episode I was wondering who this actress is. She's pretty and looks farmilar. I really didn't recognice Namtan!
The thing about this is that you have to look at it from the POV of Nott being what's called an "unreliable narrator." Unreliable Narrator - An unreliable narrator is an untrustworthy storyteller, most often used in narratives with a first-person point of view. The unreliable narrator is either deliberately deceptive or unintentionally misguided, forcing the reader to question their credibility as a storyteller. - https://www.masterclass.com/articles/what-is-an-unreliable-narrator-4-ways-to-create-an-unreliable-narrator-in-writing So, looking at it from this POV crazy things like the elevator and the washroom scenes were all in his head, and not really how it really happened. It's quite an interesting way to develop the story. A movie like Chicago was done in this stylised method to bring across what was going on in the mind of the character, rather than the reality. The nice thing with YYY was that although this craziness was portrayed, the story was never far behind. The production team did a masterful job bringing the wackiness and the reality in line with the actual story. I loved the ending. The spaceship allegory was actually a taxi, meaning the character was leaving. It is such a good scene.
This had so much potential. The story was original for a BL (Pinoy, anyway), the characters were interesting, the setting and locations were quite good, the production value was high but what the hell happened Xion and Oxin???

Would be in first place for Baddie of the Year if it wasn't for Namtam's Giwi in The Player.
Hope to see her again soon!
