Pity they took it off YT. This is the defacto video I send to people to get a better understanding of autism. It's covered so well here and even shows raw emotions from family members. While couched in fiction, and each case is a different level, it did help people understand a little more.
Namtan. Wow. Just wow. That scene with her grandmother was just chef's kiss.
Film. You are a great actress, but, IMHO this is your best work. You and Namtan just have an innate chemistry that orbits past Pluto.
However: she knows. I kept saying in the back of my head she must know. Identical twins have so many differences. Although Namtan plays both roles even in the short scenes her portrayal shows differences. (Shows how amazing she is.) Hell even the real GMM twins AJ and JJ have so many differences between them. May must know!
I've not read the novel, but I'm liking this drama so far, bar the field dancing scene. Not the best decision creatively, but from the excellence so far can be overlooked.
gmmtv is messing with usthere’s no way this is a bromance. like why are they questioning their relationship…
Lol. Yes, friends do jive each other about sexuality and their status. Particularly when they grow very close and could speak and joke to each other about anything.
I think I’ve said this before regarding sky & nani in BL’s. They may have their own personal reasons for not…
Yes, yes, yes, one million yesses! This bromance works beautifully for Sky and Nani! The close friendship of the characters is very believable as just that: very close plutonic friends. High School Frenemy is the perfect fit for their chemistry. Although GMMTV took the BL series seriously and took it to another level, I am hoping the producers and powers at GMM realise that there is a demographic that wants to see great storytelling and close-nit characters navigating real to life situations and not manufactured conflict for drama sake. This and Peaceful Property on Sale prove that. Both have main characters with amazing chemistry with no BL in sight, but use the relationships to amazing results. Both have received high rating from non-toxic fans and critics that want intriguing story and great characteristics. One drama which comes to mind thatis not the traditional BL, but still has gay main characters, is the Japanese What Did You Eat Yesterday? That was just two regular Japanese men over 35 navigating their lives and it was simply epic. No major manufactured conflict, just pure feeling, honest storytelling and characters you just couldn't help support.
I thought this would be pure nostalgia bait, but boy was I wrong. Yes, the main stories are rehashed, but it does feel fresh and modern. Many of the mistakes of the original were also changed for the better, liks that disastrous 1st episode of the original. One thing I didn't really agree with was the introduction of Jeed way down in the 10th episode. The original had her introduced from the beginning. However, I can see why she's now being brought in. I still think that Progress looks like a clone of Captain. Even his mannerisms and facial expressions mimic his predecessor. Krit is also a deadwringer for Ngern playing Earn. Maybe he could play Mong in the new adaptation or continuation of my favourite Thai drama of all times Part Time :) (Hope of a die-hard fan although he knows this is not possible!) Also still hoping for a reboot of Make it Right in 2026 MCOT?
This might be a very unpopular opinion, but the chemistry of Tay and New was extremely well used here as a friends. If any real hint of a BL betwwen them crept up here it would have, potentially, IMHO, ruin the story. Their interactions were just as you'd expect of good friends. They were well cast and used in this series!
Second unpopular opinion: this was probably the best use of Book and Force ever. Way better than anything they've been in so far. If their substory could have been adapted into something like Until We Meet Again that would be amazing. But, alas, GMMTV will never host something so potentially depressing.
This is also the only real appearance of Mook that I like. Her way of acting is not really my favourite. Also the roles she play are never this main and heroic. Here she does quite a good job though.
The actors are deliVERING! I don't think I've watched a breakdown scene so well acted.... because War! The actors…
Yes! Everybody was in fine form for this production! That being said War outdid himself. He has chemistry with every other actor. Plai is one of those actors that seems to be support everywhere someone like him needs to be. His interactions against War are just amazing to see. For a child actress Tangkwa is doing an amazing job. The subversion of expectations that she won't be injured was just one instance of very good writing. The character being the cementing block among Jack, Joker and Joker’s father was also quite well written. Victor seems to be having the mist fun being the bad guy! But Boss! What more to say! Beam has Boss down! Imposingly threatening with an aura and screen presence of an ever looming threat Boss has to be the best baddie of a 2024 BL.
Pym makes a great baddie! She was able to convey her femineity and still have a very imposing presence as Yada. Certainly in the running for Best Baddie 2024.
The Queen of BLs herself Samantha 🤣. I just want to see her finally get coupled. We almost had it in Until We Meet Again, but somehow they forgot that couple.
The story is nice and fluffy. Simple coming of age. I love seeing the background of the characters and WabiSabi is good at that. I just want more as some of their other works.
The cast is fine. I like Earth and Bas playing off each other. They really do feel like friends. Couples are taking too long to be formed through. Then again it's 16 episodes/ season so slow burn.
Two things with the drama: 1. Not every male duo has to be a couple. The chemistry of Tay and New work so well at this bro level. 2. I never thought Mook was a strong actress, but she has outdone herself here. While not Namtan level, this must be her best work yet!
The ghost stories were all so great. It would be nice if GMMTV would make an anthology series based on that material.
That's my greatest fear that GMMTV won't stick the landing. As at ep.2 this has been epic in storytelling, character development and chemistry. Hope they can pull it off!
only 8.0 for that banger of a pilot episode ? woah i was expecting atleast 8.4 minimum 😞
For a romantic drama it ticks all the boxes: great story, epic writing, magnificent acting. Chemistry more than a plutonium factory. The fact that it's a GL is even more epic. The story, motivations and actual characters have all been perfectly established in the first episode. Unless something really goes wrong this should be one of the best Asian dramas of 2024! Let's hope GMMTV sticks the landing for a 10 10 10 performance!
This is how you write your mystery dramas. Every other character seemed to be guilty. The actual baddie wasn't really expected. We, the audience, learn motivation just before the other characters. Misdirection galore. Really, really, really good writing! Mook is not my favourite Thai actress, but, I must say, she is doing a very good job here. Her move from cold lawyer to emotional daughter was well done.
GMMTV has a certified hit here. Namtan always has amazing chemistry with her co-stars. She is great, but she doesn't overshadow anyone. This must be her best role to date, and its only Episode 1!
